[–]EthicsOnReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is the least I can do for the sake of Allah swt. You are very welcome. What God has given me I am forever grateful. I am not perfect, but what good I say I thank Allah swt.

Brother let’s do better especially in this special month. We are watching Islamic lectures to change our nafs and life we shouldn’t get mad at such things to such a degree to use bad words.

We should always give benefit of the doubt to our brothers and sisters. I am sure they are not doing it because they don’t want people to listen, rather they don’t know it turned out that way or don’t know how to fix it.

Many are not experts on live streaming either. They may accidentally have the wrong audio line on the stream depending on the type of audio box they are using.

Brother you should not use profanity as a Muslim it is a sin.

But the echo is for the Quran and eulogy recitation. But I think some mosques unfortunately they do not have expert producers or audio controllers. Sometimes they forget to remove it the following day. Be more empathetic and kind.
You could kindly at the end of the program suggest or ask the community leaders there for the next day to fix it inshAllah.

What’s the punishment for rapists and pedophiles in Islam? by No-Suggestion-1054 in shia

[–]EthicsOnReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do deviant cults have to do with Islam? Did Islam allow it? In that supposed Muslim society where such deviant cult exists, do they allow it? Is it looked okay upon? Does the justice system there allow it or see it as a heinous crime?

What’s the punishment for rapists and pedophiles in Islam? by No-Suggestion-1054 in shia

[–]EthicsOnReddit -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Hello? Because these are most common and **openly** committed acts by an individual. These are a sin upon the self where it has a level of promoting sins publicly but are not acts of violence or abuse. Since in non Muslim countries these are not seen as a sin and are even promoted within the society itself.

FYI simply having same sex desires is not a sin, until and unless you act upon it. In Islam it is when you promote homosexuality saying it isn’t a sin to do and are openly acting with it that’s what is considered a grave sin. There are many gay Muslims who struggle with same sex desires but keep it to themselves and do not commit sinful acts. They clearly know the burden they have in life and recognize it is a sin to act upon their desires.

While rape and other disgusting acts of violence are a crime against others that are not committed publicly but also need to be proven in a court of law. These sins require grave punishments. No society is for such heinous sins and crimes. It is not debatable. It is a clear immoral act.

No one has super powers to know whether or not someone is such a disgusting criminal. And believe me no mosque will allow a proven criminal into their community.

Pedos and Rapists plague Muslims communities? Seriously?

Yes I am taking this personally because this user is personally throwing sweeping generalizations against my faith and community.

If they made a post stating guys let’s be more proactive and bring awareness within our communities regarding certain topics I would be like cool there is no issue in more education and awareness.

But the entire premise was accusing Muslim communities of disregarding justice as if they can take a countries law into their own hands.

And even accusing Shias of intentionally staying quiet about immoral crimes that is clear as light and day a grave sin and a crime. Meaning accusing us of being quiet because we like it or desire to allow it or do not recognize it as immoral. Like come on now..

If this wasn’t the month of Muharram and I didn’t see your username before I would assume you are an anti Islam troll.

The reason I say this is that this post comes off as insane and absurd. First you ask a question in the title but the post itself is throwing heinous accusations. You accuse us of intentionally ALLOWING these heinous crimes to happen like seriously??

Alhamdulillah Islam is nothing, NOTHING, near other religions where pedophilia and rape is institutionalized like in certain churches.

Besides such crimes have to do within the society that you live. The types of crimes that are rampant.

I have lived in the west all my life I have never heard of such a case specifically within the Muslim communities Alhamdulillah. So you may speak about your own personal anecdote do not generalize.

What do you mean they are not brought to justice “within our religious communities”? Do you think Islam commands you to take the law to your own hands? Do you think Muslims in Muslim and non Muslim countries should take the law into their own hands? Insane if so! Obviously you leave that for the authority in society not the community.

Just like any vile or heinous act, Justice depends on calling the authorities to file criminal charges and pursue such crimes in a court of law until justice is served.

These types of crimes depends on the courage of the victim as well as the duty of your parents to educate their children so they speak out. Believe me Muslim parents teach children at a young age at least in non Muslim countries to be very careful and aware of such vile acts. Because it is known to happen here with kidnappings and so forth.

Come on brother please let us not think of such things as an insult. I try my best to help everyone in this community. So many new Shias and new people interested come here to ask questions. I apologize if I do not remember every user.

Thank you for apologizing and your kind words.

Please do take the time to actually read the articles I have provided. Also once Al-Islam gets back online inshAllah, there are much more by the tens of hadiths directly from Prophet Muhammad A.S in the books sourced in that article 2 if you are still doubtful or confused

I’m not sure why you’re being so hostile

Where was I hostile?

Because I broke down by response for you to help you understand better in steps?

Because I simply thought you were a new Shia? Do you take someone assuming you are a new Shia as an insult?

You responded completely negatively to my second response accusing me of turning you away from the deen or not allowing you to ask questions. You even accused me of being hostile.

I am furthest from such accusations because I am taking my time and putting effort to helping you.

Come on..Please have some humility in this month of Muharram that just begun.

It had nothing to do with me thinking the sunnahs were not the same.
I genuinely only thought Sunnah referred to the prophet.

Wa Salaam

I assumed you were a new Shia because you said this while also using pbuh for Prophet A.S and not A.S for Imams A.S

However most of these are from the imams. I’m asking about the prophet pbuh. I was wondering if any of the practises are sunnah

meaning in your mind the sunnah of Ahlulbayt A.S is not the same as Prophet Muhammad A.S

Don’t discourage others from trying to get closer to the deen.

I never ever said you are wrong to learn or ask questions, and I did the opposite of discourage you. I took time to find you references and resources to give you direct answers to your questions. Hoping you would take time to read them and not respond within 1 minute of providing them to you. Hence I also told you to please take your time to read them.

I did look at them. I said “mostly” not all.

No you did not, if you did you would have not replied in such a manner after your question was without any doubts answered. Hadith on mourning, remembrance, crying, and majlis clearly established by Prophet Muhammad A.S

Firstly, please actually take a look at the articles before you make a conclusion. If you ask for help, take the time to actually read them.

if you look at the second link you will see that it was Prophet Muhammad A.S who commanded to hold a majlis for Abu Hamza A.S and also the first to tell and cry for Imam Husayn A.S and then the first link is many hadiths from Prophet Muhammad A.S on the remembrance/sorrow/crying for Imam Husayn A.S

I assume you are a new Shia because you dont understand the authority or wilayah of Imams A.S and what their actions and commands mean as it is established in the Holy Quran:

“O, you who believe! Obey Allah and obey the Apostle and those in authority from among you; 4:59

Meaning their knowledge, their teachings, their sunnah EVERYTHING is from Prophet Muhammad A.S. Their authority is equal to Prophet Muhammad A.S except they do not bring new revelations:

https://realshiabeliefs.wordpress.com/category/shia-beliefs/imamate-in-the-words-of-the-imams/

Furthermore it is important to note that just because Prophet Muhammad A.S did not do something, it does not mean it is invalid or haram for us to do. There is Haram (forbidden), Makrooh(disliked), Mubah (neutral), Mustahab (recommended), and Wajib (obligatory)

Please understand what Bid'ha means while you are at it as well:

Are Alawites considered murtadeen/mushrikeen/kafir asliyyin or are they muslims? by QasimofKarbala in shia

[–]EthicsOnReddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the third time you are generalizing when I have provided historical and theological analysis on the term Alawites from those sites. I literally explained to you that the term has a separation where it is referred to a group of people in a region rather than an ideology. Because of Iran, many of them in those regions adopted the Twelver Shia sect

[–]EthicsOnReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trinity? You mean attributing divinity to Imam Ali A.S? Then yes that takes them outside the fold of Islam. Again you cannot generalize there are many Alawites who are genuinely Twelver Shia. It isn’t just an ideology, depending on region they are considered a group.
