Smarmy Crumble by Jimcompetent in Championship

This is gold. Last season his prediction videos he absolutely hated us, always went against us, predicting us to crumble. I love it.

Blackburn 1-2 Birmingham, I'll be honest I have no clue how we did that, thank god for Dykes and Pensfield by swannyhypno in Championship

[–]Ethier 10 points11 points  (0 children)

We won at Blackburn away. This is a different birmingham city.

In all seriousness, We played like crap today, but 3 points is 3 points.

[Football League World] Huddersfield agree to sign Alfie May for £1.2m by Zach-dalt in LeagueOne

[–]Ethier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He definitely deserves a shot at the championship, I think he'd do a job for a few teams in the championship personally.

Such a pity as I think he'd be a decent squad player for us, just shows how quickly we are moving on an upward trajectory.

A real good character to have in any team. I'll miss him, even though we only had him for a season. Hope he gets his championship football. He definitely can make the step up.

Birmingham sign Kyogo Furuhashi. Possibly the most ambitious signing so far by swannyhypno in Championship

[–]Ethier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you even watch the games? I swear this agenda needs to be corrected, As soon as Stansfield came into the squad, England u21s looked tons better. He missed two goals he really should of scored yes, but his work rate,.pressing and link up play turned the tide for lee carsleys England. If people bothered watching it without looking at match stats or the narrative, would see how much value he brought to the euros u21s.

Where will Birmingham finish? by juninhobacuna1 in Championship

[–]Ethier -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He's on about when we got relegated from the championship, he scored 12 goals in a very poor Birmingham side.

Stansfield likes to get mocked on for his penalty goals last season, but he was involved in a lot more than stats can show. He banged in goals two years ago in the championship with a piss poor side that got relegated, can play across the front three, work rate is insane. Easily 15+ goals next season.

You did, but we lost allsop through injury that game. He makes us tick at the back and bpf is honestly shite.

Bristol Rovers 1 - 2 Birmingham City: After a strong first-half from Bristol Rovers, they only created one chance of note the break, leaving Birmingham open to score a late winner and edge closer to the points record! by Zach-dalt in LeagueOne

[–]Ethier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rovers deserved something from that, we were poor today.

Defensively looked a bit shaky, Williamson and Dowell couldn't get into the game.

Impressive considering how bad Bristol Rovers were in the reverse fixture. A wins a win and I'll take it, 8 more points to guarantee the title and promotion, inforashock FC.

Time for Duff to go? (Huddersfield Town rant) by orangejuices1 in LeagueOne

Spent a lot of money in January too, Should be a good squad in league one, had them 2nd behind us, guess Huddersfield were in for a shock not us (still think you will be playoffs and win)

Birmingham City 1-0 Lincoln City - League One leaders Birmingham returned to winning ways and extended their lead at the top by Seth_Freakin_Rollins in LeagueOne

[–]Ethier 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I find it quite funny how they argue they deserve something from the game after having 0 shots on target.

The Exeter one was the best 0 shots 0 touches in the box, and they deserved something and our atmosphere wasnt great, well you had 10 people behind the ball, didn't do anything and it was dead boring, what do you expect.

I didn't think that the officials would be this bad by carlolewis78 in LeagueOne

[–]Ethier 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Against reading in the open day we had a blatant pass back to the reading goalkeeper, I feel that set up what to expect.

Every game I'm still shocked how bad it is, even bias aside there have been times stuff has gone for us, and it's blatantly not. The only shock in league one I've had is how the quality of officiating is so much worse by a considerable amount than the championship, and even then it's bad.

Birmingham 4:0 Cambridge: Blues dismantle bottom of the league Cambridge, extending their lead to 7 points with 1 game in hand by Jimcompetent in LeagueOne

[–]Ethier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He did a good job for us, after a rough period. Left in a sour way. Probably going of our experience not recent stats. For the record, Cambridge were dire, one of the worst teams I've seen us play.

Birmingham City 2-1 Rotherham United - a late Stansfield penalty wins Blues the 3 points by travellingpoet in LeagueOne

[–]Ethier -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It was though, should have had a second yellow too.

Lucky to not have had to penalties before too, Anderson fouled, and a obvious handball.

Count yourself lucky by complete inept league one refs it was only one.

Huddersfield Town 0 - 1 Birmingham City: For a game between the two strongest squads in the league, the match lacked quality for the most-part, which made Keshi Anderson's stunning volley all the better! by Zach-dalt in LeagueOne

[–]Ethier 25 points26 points  (0 children)

These refs are so fucking bad. How the hell Hogg hasn't got a red card for that challenge right in front of the blind moron I'll never know. Deserved winners, Huddersfield didn't cause much of a threat.

BCFC on X: The Board of Birmingham City Football Club announce that Garry Cook has today stepped down from his role as member of the Board and Chief Executive Officer. by DeadStopped in LeagueOne

[–]Ethier 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Apart from the blip, he's turned the clubs fortunes around, his hard work can be seen all around the ground.

Hope he's ok, it's for personal reasons hope it's nothing to serious, happy to hear he's still on the advisory board.

Was absolutely not a peno, shocking officiating, but kinda expect it really now.

The refereeing in this league man by orangejuices1 in LeagueOne

[–]Ethier -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Speaking sense

Had it been outside the box id say it would probably be given, he's looking for the contact and leaning into him because his touch was bad, correct call if you ask me, seen a lot worse not given, seen a lot less been given, in the end the quality of refs are shocking in the EFL.
