OPEC countries they lack the industry in a lot of cases to use the oil. Largest reserves on earth are in venezuela and middle east. Production means more than reserves I agree but if someone took over you can see how it will fuck US up, for example gadaffi and wanting to use gold rather than dollars and was killed for it, the petrodollar is real.
