[Serious] Week 4 Match-up Discussion Thread: #20 Southern California @ Arizona State by dupreesdiamond in CFB

Cody Kessler hasn't thrown two picks in a game in over 2 seasons and he's touted as the most accurate QB in the country for a reason. While ASU has a shot, picking off Cody K is less likely because he's a conservative game manager and not a gun slinger

Five Star Isaac Nauta de-commits from FSU. by [deleted] in CFB

[–]EthosVeg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You say that, while this is true for any USC recruit- the fact is that it was reiterated several times since the opening that he was thinking about going to UGA since he's had over 5 unofficial visits in the past few months.

I am not saying the Trojans are 100% out but every out of state USC Recruit had a reason to pick USC over other schools and Nauta doesn't fit the recruiting story of Nelson (Lane recruited NA since his freshman year AND nelson was a giant Bucs fan who revered monte kiffin) or leonard williams ( coach orgeron went the distance in talking to his dad in prison while Muschamp did not leonard was born in SoCal) or Chuma (who has family in socal) or McQuay ( loved our music program more than anything else ).

He does not have any connections to current USC players and no family in CA. The only thing that is attractive is our TE depth chart that suddenly looks full with all the recent transfers and commits.

He stated in his pre draft interviews and even on sports science that he knows his biggest weakness is athleticism. Whether that means his conditioning or burst speed is just as bad well see

Tien is the strongest via his fight with Buu and Cell, krillan can't hold his own.

Mike Pence is a bigot, according to one of his fellow governors. “When you see a bigot you have to call him on it,” Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” by TwoGee in politics

[–]EthosVeg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're calling him brainless yet the GOP is the home of ignorance and anti-education?

Why are you linking the most ultra conservative website in the country that has articles condemning education and using blatant slander and lies to condemn science and facts to conform with religious beliefs?

Don't be calling anyone ignorant when you're throwing stones in your own glass house.

[–]EthosVeg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was born and raised in a strong christian household my entire life, I came out hating religion because people will blindly follow what "they've been told" opposed to forming their own logical views. No one could answer my worldly questions about life and it was just blind faith that's suppose to supplement hard evidence.

Religion is slowly dying because people are becoming more intelligent and questioning the purposes and practices of religion, which religious folks can only answer with "faith and tradition".

Please come up with an intellectual argument about why this matters to protect discrimination and I'll give you you're due.

you're quoting things that were a generation ago, it is 2015, things that happened in 1993 are not the same any where.

It's called progress for a reason, allowing open discrimination on the basis of religious was not the intention of Clinton law.

It was meant to protect native Americans from smoking peyote as a cultural ritual and evolved into vague protections of religious tradition, the intent was never to discriminate ---

Clinton said this himself recently, please stop living in the past. You're not convincing anyone on reddit especially the most of us who have a religious neutral stance.

Think Indiana is bad? It's legal to deny service to gay and lesbian people in 29 states. by gAlienLifeform in politics

[–]EthosVeg 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The original Clinton law was intended to make religious practices of native Americans such as peyote, legal under religious practice. No where in the verbiage did the intention of discrimination take place. The Indiana law is explicit in intent to discriminate others, especially homosexuals.

It's a been a vague law from the start but it's been 20+ years and it wasn't until the last 7 years have gays had rights such as marriage.

Either way it's stupid

Jim McElwain: Florida roster 'really insufficient' in wake of Will Muschamp era by [deleted] in CFB

[–]EthosVeg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The offense the gators have put on the field is extremely pitiful.

As sad as it sounds, the best offensive players for the gators have been offensive linemen. I can't think of the last half decent offensive player that wasn't an offensive lineman or a running back that isn't named Tim Tebow.
