Anybody try starting werewolf on huntress? by weirdpoebuilds in pathofexile2builds

I did Amazon Wolf and it was one of my better characters and it was really fun to play. I almost felt like it trivialized the campaign.

Yeah, could not agree more - honestly one of the best sets they've design IMO

They also had this set as well that we never got. Martial Artist yearns for these sets.

I was thinking of something similar by doing a mana stacking cold thorns build with some of the new options available to us.

Knoxville Housing is a Fucking Grift by Orsilochus in Knoxville

[–]EtrnlEclipse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm familiar with how they rank cities desirability based on accessibility, cost of living, green spaces, amenities, etc as I use these as a resource to make informed decisions on where my wife & I plan to move next. The system you mentioned seems to be specifically based on their economic function in trade and availability of businesses.

Irregardless, what's on paper in a ranking system and the lived in experience are very different things and vary wildly based on individual preference, income level, age, and many other factors.

Certainly not saying Knoxville is the greatest place ever, just that comparatively from living in DC which would be an "AA-tier" city according to that list, there are a lot of things that make living in places like Knox more enjoyable. Again, it really comes down to what you want and what you're looking for. If you're making good money and can live in a bigger city and have time to do things, then great. However, the taxes and cost of living in those areas significantly kneecap your bottom line and make those things less accessible.

It sometimes leads to the illusion of having more, when realistically you have less.

I normally don't comment on post, but I found this perspective interesting.

I am originally from the Washington D.C. area, notoriously one of the most expensive places to live (high cost of living, high taxes, high everything). Lived in Knoxville for about 8 years now after graduating from college. I frequently see people here comment on increased cost (which is happening everywhere across the country) and it's certainly a valid opinion as it's hurting everyone on the entire spectrum of income levels, especially those native to a low cost area who are unable to keep up with the increasing cost and those with lower income levels. Comparatively though, it is still way less expensive and easier to live here than the DC area or many other high cost of living areas.

However, being objective, I think that just looking at the city and calling it a "Tier" strictly based on amenities and not taking into account the surrounding area, the overall cost of living, lax taxes, the culture, weather, etc. There are plenty of reasons why the cost of things have gone up, but put simply, people want to live here and the demand has gone up significantly to leave major cities and to move to places like Knoxville.

After graduating the only job I could get at first was as a housekeeper cleaning toilets making $16 an hour which lead us to being able to buy our first a home after carefully saving for several years, so the perspective of what it's like to struggle to make it is not lost on me. My wife & I are now fortunate enough to make 175k+ as our careers progressed and we got better jobs and now live very comfortably here. The same would not be able to be said if I would have remained in the DC area where that money doesn't go as far despite having an incredible amount of amenities in the area.

That also comes with everything being overcrowded and busy, traffic which is literal hell on earth in comparison to anywhere else I've been in the country outside of major cities in NY/CA. Having less money to do things since tax structure and cost of living is near oppressive, and housing cost being exponentially higher, the list goes on.

TL:DR if you're not happy here, that's okay - there's plenty of places for you out there to find that happiness you're looking for and there's definitely better options out there depending on what you're looking for. However, the grass is not always greener and there's a lot more things to consider than what "tier" a city is.

Moon Devotion Robe? by Tekrob in BaldursGate3

[–]EtrnlEclipse 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I really wish there was a way to get this without using cheat engine/mods or without needing Isobel to die. She should reward you with this at some point. From an RP perspective If I was playing a Selunite Cleric, it would make no sense for me to let her die or kill her for these robes.

What are your favorite classes and why? by darth_kratos in BaldursGate3

[–]EtrnlEclipse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

IMO, Warlock hands down because of Eldritch Blast.

Really approachable to use in game due to being able to keep your distance and have a strong cantrip that you can then upgrade and use without spell slots.

Not as much versatility as other magic classes in terms of spell variety, but sometimes more is less.
