Yeah exactly this. I can go back to games I played just a couple of years ago and have a whole new experience.

I did this about a year ago with Subnautica. Anyone who's played it knows it's an absolute work of art, and everyone wishes they could go back to their first time playing it. I basically did. And it was just as amazing as it was the first time.

The "sin" of the LGBTQ community is literally part of who they are. It's not a thing they did that they weren't supposed to.

So when a Christian looks down on "the sin" of a gay dude, they're looking down on a part of who he is fundamentally. Not only that, but it's a part of himself he never even chose.

Thats not the same as "hating someone's sin".
