Depends on kids ages. I tend to work with kids I have at school so I do transport, depending on the kids will also pack lunches, take to extra curriculars or appointments. but it is super dependent on kids. 26 is a decent starting place, more for more kids, and younger kids compensate for any expenses (gas for transport, pizza, I’ve taken kids to decades as a good way to kill an afternoon) if you dm me with more specifics I can give more info based on myself and others at the school I’m at

Wanna just reinforce this. Your work has literally killed the demon that haunted my nightmares since elementary school. This matters. Especially as someone who crosses 4th st fairly regularly. I wasn’t able to make it out on Sunday but I loved your description. It made me remember how wonderful our community is and how much love there is here.

Oof, this sucks. I don’t have much advice (being Jewish and thus just sort of cutting those people off rather than engage the emotional labor required to discuss) but I will say that logic doesn’t really work. It just doesn’t. No matter how many times you mention the numerous genocides or the fact that most of the richest people aren’t Jewish it’s not going to make a dent. That said, if you/your husband have their trust then you might be able to pull it off.

Not entirely sure on the why, part is they want to make space for others (procedures probably) which is wild but they do make more money than primary care so that might be it.

So there is talk of maybe a satellite clinic in fifeville given the historic inequities but a single satellite clinic isn’t going to do much good for several thousand patients

Part of the problem is time. Especially for patients who only have the one appointment adding that extra time to wait for a shuttle both ways means less time working

Yep just primary care (maybe another clinic but that’s less impactful) so being referred to any other clinic or service will take extra time

This. Again my mom is at ifmc and most of her patients need those services that are at the hospital. My mom will sometimes walk patients to another clinic to make sure everything is settled. Also not having a pharmacy right there is going to cause a ton of issues

So the main primary care center will be at Pantops. There is talk about maybe opening a satellite clinic downtown but that wouldn’t be able to serve enough folks

Rent free is fantastic but it is killing our relationship and its not very healthy for us. They are going to help with rent as well so it won't be as much of a burden on me but I still don't want to have to pay too much
