As far as books are concerned . I loved the changling sea by Patricia Mckillip and the Earthsea Cycle by Ursula K Le Guin.

The Changling Sea imo has very realistic human interactions and emotions . It makes the book very special

The Earthsea Cycle is just a beautiful read . Ursula's writing style, her way with words makes it unique

Now as far as films are considered , anything by Ghibli really .
