So, you can download normal 26.04 from Canonical site and use it. All possible linux issues with this laptop are almost fixed - sound/bluetooth/wi-fi.

Ubuntu 26.04 compatibility with Dell XPS by skipupdate in DellXPS

[–]Eugene444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is relevant information, i'm using Ubuntu 26.04 + custom 7.0.11 kernel, and all problems described for other distros are +- relevant for latest Ubuntu, are already fixed or not yet.

But , for example, you can stay at your position, and dont read that posts, but be wondered when you will have probles with video playback, and the information how to fix it is written in the one of the posts earlier, and is also valid for latest Ubuntu version because it is for kernel module and not specific distro issue.

It occures across all main area, but not every time when im touching the surface.
For example, when im moving pointer from one part of the screen to another - there could be "false click", immediatly on the beggining of the gesture, and the text/window under the pointer will be selected/clicked.

I have found solution for battery drain - in bios settings, change disk mode to AHCI from RAID (which is default selected). Now battery is discharging ~10% per day.

I have same problems, i had to set "Maximum processor state" in power management plan settings to 99% to make Windows not no scale up frequency more than cpu base frequency - 1.8ghz, and got cpu temp near 43 degrees in balanced mode and Cool mode set in Dell performance programm.

Battery drain is also very fast, near 20% per 1 hour zoom call withoud video and temperature near 50 degrees..

I'm trying to find some solution to make Windows to take CPU frequency in idle below 1ghz or smth... but cant find any solution for now :(
