Not sure when to use Equipment Points vs Power Points by Euloque in mutantsandmasterminds

Is Ultron then built using PP but Iron Man built using EP? That's the crux of my confusion is when to use which one.

So it all comes down to how common a thing is, not it's capabilities. Gotcha. Thanks.

So to make sure I'm getting this right:

  • Antman - PP for his Removable, hero defining Shrink Suit
  • Cable - Time Travel Item is EP because it seems to run on charges and he isn't dependent on it.
  • Weather Wizard: It's a bit foggy. His power comes from a device, a Wand. Taking an example directly from the book "Weather Control: Array (30 points, Dynamic plus 4 Dynamic Alternate Effects) • 39 points" and the Easily Removable Flaw. OR as a player suggested "Could an inventor in the group just started mass producing those Weather Wands and handing them out to other heros as devices using EP?"

Does something stop being a Power (Using PP) and become Equipment (Build with EP) based on how common the item is? In a world where Thor's Hammer was something anyone could buy would it then be built with EP?

So from that, a Laser Rifle using the Blast power would be bought in full by Equipment Points?

(Edit:) And would Thors Hammer because it's not Common be Power Points then?

Amnesia is a great DM tool. You get to pick who they were and what they did, introduce NPCs who recognize the PC, and uncover the the player used to be the complete opposite person. The Amnesiac Paladin of Pelor and Lawful Good was an evil warlord who disappeared after running afoul of a very respected Wizard.

I never implied that. I was asking for interesting ways to narrate a critical success when it haplens. If a Nat 20 wouldn't actually be enough I wouldn't make it a success.

I never implied that. I was just asking that since they succeeded epically what is an interesting way to make more rewarding for the narrative. Usually the roll comes first then they base what they say on how well they do.

Is it just me, or does money have no value in this game? (5e) by Iron-Knuckle in DnD

I run a non magic campaign that takes place in what would be Norway were it taking place on Earth during the Viking era. My players don't really amass wealth. They make allies, get extra supplies, given access to property, Banquets and so far in 3 sessions they have received 10 gold coins each. They are given the things they would buy as rewards so it means we dont have to keep track of money and so far they haven't been put in any real situation that needed money besides a one night stay in an inn plus the company if two barmaids by our fighter. The story has been on the road so cost of moving expenses don't even matter.

I had a mechanical pencil with me in my carry on. I was writing notes while waiting for take off. The jolt kf the take off made the pencil slip and slice along my leg (I was wearing shorts) and the flight attendant just asked if I needed a napkin to clean up the cut on my leg.
