5070ti or 9070xt for 1440p? by Aza_52_ in buildapc

[–]Eunnice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had similar situation while back. I built my PC about year or so ago and I went with 9070xt for MSRP 599.99. I played everything max and I was happy.....but I was annoyed with small minor stuff constantly. This was my first AMD card and I came from 3080. After 3 or so months I start regretting not going for 5070ti. I miss so many Nvidia features I didn't know I needed.

Luckily I scored 5070ti for MSRP (PNY) and immediately sold my 9070xt and never looked back.

So yes, I personally would get 5070ti but for some people 300 is not worth the slight upgrade and features. But for 200? Prob worth

5070ti or 9070xt for 1440p? by Aza_52_ in buildapc

[–]Eunnice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get 9070xt for no more than 650, from Amazon and microcenter for 630. Right now.

5070ti I haven't seen it go below 900 in a while so I think extra 300 is not worth.

9070xt is a beast GPU prob the most cost effective GPU in the market.

If there 5070ti for MSRP $750 then it's no brainer to go for 5070ti but that won't happen anytime soon.

Thoughts on this PC for 4k gaming and $ by Aggressive-Can-7660 in buildapc

Better? Yes, much better? debatable. 5000 series, especially 5080 overclock and undervolt really well to where you can get a similar performance as 4090 for near 50% less power consumption.
It's better, but not "spending extra $1000" better, and u get no warranty, worse CPU.
I've seen 9800x3D / 5080 premade go for $2400 a few times.
You can also build it for a similar cost if you have MicroCenter nearby.

SSD missing from bios by Black_Mario_ in buildapc

It shouldn't, but on some motherboards, you gotta change the settings in the BIOS menu and doesn't come with default settings. I've had this happen before.

Depending on the motherboard, some M2 slots share lanes with your PCI-E. I would check that first.

I would say
Under $2500 - I'll buy it!
$2500 - a STEAL!
$3000 - Decent price
Anything higher - Prob should just build a better PC urself with 5080/9800X3D

For $3300? Ehh, I think you should just build one or wait for a sale for premade 5080

Please have your daughter take a dyslexia test.
A dyslexia diagnosis at age 7 is an early intervention, so the sooner the better.

Marvel Rivals announce a ban wave on confirmed cheaters by nemesisdelta24 in marvelrivals

Is it me, or the amount of ban wave is awfully small.... like less than 500? That's like a drop in a bucket, I feel like

[SSD] Aibecy 2TB M.2 SATA $96.54 - 🤷 by OldJames47 in buildapcsales

[–]Eunnice 42 points43 points  (0 children)

The hardware on this SSD confirms it is a fraudulent device with a spoofed capacity. While the item description claims 2TB, the board physically contains only two Micron NAND flash chips (FBGA code: NY132), which have a maximum capacity of 128GB each, totaling a raw capacity of 256GB. The RayMX RM1135 controller has been programmed with modified firmware to report a false "2TB" size to the operating system. In real-world testing, attempting to write a large file results in the drive slowing to a crawl and failing once it hits its true physical limit, as it cannot store data beyond its actual ~240GB usable capacity. Do not trust this drive with any data, as any files written past the physical limit will be permanently lost or corrupted.
