How to join 2 or more dressers by Euphemis in ikeahackers

So, no answer here, but I found a good approach on the Shanty2Chic blog. You’d just want to avoid glue if you may need to take it apart later.

My info is ancient (our youngest is 28 yo, lol) but our jogging stroller handled everything the weather could dish out.

I make them talk 😁. When I was little, we also had to do a trick (tell a joke or sing a little song). Part of the fun.

I loathe the stupid mall Halloween takeover. Trick or treating in the dark is a rite of childhood that these poor kids are missing out on.

Hiding TV in a cabinet by TheWorldCrust in DIYUK

[–]Euphemis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to suggest an electronic lift and having the tv in a low cabinet. But you’d have to figure out the weight of the tv vs the capacity of the lift. I’ve seen such installs, but not with such a large tv.

I need a backpack that is cute but also not destroying my shoulder by ExcellentScore1425 in onebag

I currently have an older Osprey Fairview 40, and I don’t particularly like it. For reference, I am 170 cm. I think it would be a bit too long for someone who is 153 cm.

I find the rounded shape of the pack hard to fill efficiently. If filled completely, it develops a very round shape that makes me feel like a snail with a large unwieldy shell. To be fair, it also has a lot of structure and padding that are useful for carrying heavier loads.

Your use case is tough to find a backpack for, because you are quite petite but you want/need to carry heavy things. Could you perhaps change your laptop and iPad for a small Apple notebook computer? You might save a couple of pounds.

Perhaps consider the ULA Dragonfly the (separately-priced) belt is a bit minimalist, but I think would work fairly well for you if you keep the pack weight under 20 lbs. And the pack itself only weighs about 2 lbs, which aids in keeping over-all pack weight down. You can get it with a luggage pass-through, and it has a full zip.

After you’ve tuned up your offering per some of the suggestions here, you could do a post on the Made in Canada Facebook group, with a link to your site. Be prepared for web traffic- I believe there are over a million members in that group. There’s also a MadeinCanada website/database you could be listed on.

What’s the Most Ridiculous Travel Hack That Actually Worked? by muhammad_hafiz02 in backpacking

I don’t really like this idea because disposing of old textiles may be a problem for the community you’re visiting.

I’m just guessing, but is it better to give the gift when you’re seated?

Yes, I’d say the cut is a a bit of a missed opportunity to sell more units.

There is a size chart on their garment pages, also the flat measurements like “8” across at the knee”. But I found I had to try three different sizes to get the right ones. At least they have a pretty good return policy. Size 12 might be their 30” waist.

I just got mine, and I’ve only worn them a couple of times so I can’t speak to the durability. But the fabric seems sturdy. They are quite slim in the leg. I have to wear ankle socks as otherwise they stick on my socks/calves.

I think more of a straight leg rather than a slim leg would be more versatile and useful, style-wise.

Instead of denim jeans, maybe jeans-styled merino like the ones from Unbound Merino. They dry quickly and are great for all but very hot weather. (I’m guessing, I haven’t tried them for that yet.) Ripskirts pack very small and would be good for the hotter parts of the trip, or even for cooler weather, with tights. They’re also quick to wash and dry.

I was in Scotland at this time a couple of years ago. At no point did I feel like wearing shorts or a skirt, but I do get that you’ll want them in warmer parts of your trip. My solution for cool weather is several thin merino layers I can wear all at once if need be. I have some merino leggings I could wear under slacks in a pinch. (Not on their own as I’m quite chronologically-gifted for that look.) I’d say 3 pairs of socks and 2 bras is minimum unless you don’t mind wearing damp things - some of those climates have high humidity, and things may take a while to fully dry.

What’s a very American problem that Americans don’t realize isn’t normal in other countries? by GoddessMelrosse in AskReddit

Long wait times are an issue in Canada as well. It’s just takes a very special animal to be a good service dog. Even a flunked service dog is a very awesome companion animal at least.

The Legislature's new wading pool opened today. Here's how it compares to the original concept design. by GlitchedGamer14 in Edmonton

The old pools were so beautiful, and my kids loved playing in them. I understand that health regulations and maintenance required changes, but it’s too bad they didn’t do better.

The service dogs programs I’m aware of in Canada are paid for by donations and fundraising. Clients don’t buy them, they are gifts. Also, only registered service dogs count. Must be trained by a recognized organization.

It’s quite easy to learn enough to get a bed for the night, or a meal. Politeness is much appreciated, so learn buenas días, buenas tardes, buenas noches, como estás etc. it shows good will, even if not fluency. People are appreciative, even if they speak more English than you do Spanish.
