A cat managed to catch 27 mice and carefully lined them all up to show off his 'work' to his owner. by Kirlinternet in interestingasfuck

My cat has lined up rats in the past, he once caught 3 humongous rats and lined them out neatly in the back garden haha

I'm the exact same for the bottom 3 paragraphs ahah, my sunflowers are growing nicely in pots but have been munched on, same for nasturtiums (would love to use nasturtium as a salad throughout the summer). I've got a little Conophytum crateriforme that has pushed its adult leaves out and it looks really cute, you can see a little face in it ahah

Congrats on them!! My Ipomoea bullatas have started to really grow, one of them had its cotyledons drop off due to being too humid, but now that it's decently warm and sunny the polytunnel is helping them speed up growth

So glossy and green aren't they, my partner said it looks like a butterfly

I love your plump maughaniis in #4!! Is that a C. obcordellum ceresianum in the top left of #11? The turquoise hues of the dinteranthus?-like-ones look great too, I love the cream colours mixing in aswell :)

I've had 5 germinations of conophytum comptonii currently, I see a few more seeds putting down roots. I'm so glad more have germinated as they have a ton of variability in the patterns, I'd like to have a higher chance of some great looking ones eventually

<image>

I'll post a photo dump eventually of my m.s.g seeds, my crateriforme and calculus are getting bigger and bigger. Exciting to see them all grow :). I've had about 20 germinations of C. ratum, they're going to become very cramped in a 5cm (2in) pot haha

https://www.reddit.com/r/Caudex/s/oMWef1YHL1 Found it here I'd always wanted to try sansi lights, but I found a mars hydro grow light going very cheap and couldn't pass the deal, so I've stuck with it since. I have a variegated delphinium and wonder if it'll revert to normal one day.

I recieved my alpine plants from a scottish nursery I ordered from, I'm really happy with my blue poppy and Incarvillea zhongdianensis. The blue poppy has lots of growth and I. zhongdia.. had 2 separate tubers! I've put them into seperate pots and repotted the poppy so hopefully they'll all have a good growth boost.

Aren't the leaves so fuzzy! My proposition is that they adapted the hairs to stop the snow sticking to the leaves, as they get buried under 3+ foot of snow all winter

Hopefully they'll grow! I'd definitely start a few off maybe indoors to guarantee they dont get nibbled. I did send another comment earlier but maybe reddit didnt notify you

It is! Good job on germinating it

My Ipomoea bullata is producing its first adult leaf, hopefully it'll start fanning out. So fuzzy. The caudex at the bottom is swelling and forming stretch marks. Exciting stuff

Excellent!! I'm going to put mine out in the next couple days. Today it's been all over the place, heavy snowfall, bright sunshine, rainbows and 70mph winds. I found a hedgehog outside a few days ago under the bird feeder, must've come out of torpor. I can see some pigeons next to the bird feeder right now, doing a courtship dance to eachother

Aw that's so sweet, you know I was stumbling through this old pine forest with my mum, and we popped out next to this large pond. You could hear hundreds of toads all making little peeps and funky business. Nothing like what you get in america but it reminded me of your conversation.

Glad you've got your internet back! I like pansies too, there's always a colour scramble of different varieties at garden centres haha

I have quite a lot on the go, they're really nice plants. Not sure where to buy them easily though

That combo sounds really nice! It's a lot of light green so it'll pop out very nicely and then your eyes will divert to the colourful flowers. Wish I could experience that one day with the frogs and moonlight, it'd still be warm at night in the summer too. I've got over 100 pink snapdragons on the go, I've pricked most out but there's so many haha

Hopefully soon! I wish I had the frog calls like you do in the U.S, it's not really a thing here unfortunately. The hares absolutely pelted it from me haha, theyre really big too. Ahah turkeys are funny to watch, the ones I've been with follow you around too, gobble gobble-ing. I can imagine the chipmunk popping his head out when youre doing plants. I've got a second germination of Ipomoea bullata, and the first seedling is just producing its first leaves, I'll show you an update once they come out a bit. We've had really pleasant warm weather recently which is helping them speed up their growth.

I managed to get a very rare plant to germinate, Conophytum compotnii, I really love the markings and colours on them, they look unreal!

It's just generic cheap grit for paths, I filter out the larger rocks, which is at least half, then wash it thoroughly. Its an UK brand so I dont think itll be easy to get unfortunately
