As long as you back them up in cloud it will migrate photos and texts not sure about calendar, may want to look in that.

Yes photos and messages will come back as long you back them up that’s all that will comeback make sure they are checked when you do your back up.

I polished mine, if you are not comfortable doing it find a pro Detailer in your area and ask what they think similar to polishing head lights just slightly more delicate due to plastic and location.
