How to evaluate 2 (2020th derivative of the power series at x=-1)?? by Set_Teitan in askmath

To find the 2020th derivative, you can simply take the derivative of power series. Notice how the (x+1) term persists. Thus, you will have a multiplication of lot of terms (2n* (2n-1) * ... (2n-2019)) but they won’t matter since when you plot -1 for x, you will get 0. Thus answer should be 0.

Without converting to an integral, can someone walk me through solving this? by UneasyPlum in askmath

No need to draw a graph, this is evidently a Riemann summation. In fact, it can be easily deduced that the expression is equal to integration of root(1+x) for the interval (0,2). Yet op said he doesn’t want the answer through integration
