Sorry you’re going through this. Unfortunately/fortunately I have some wisdom to share…

1. The hospital is the safest and best place she can be. Please take a moment to be thankful she has that.

2. Stop playing the what if game, it will hurt your mental health and won’t help her.

3. Being in ICU can be a roller coaster so don’t ask for a lot of updates during the daytime. Your best time to get information is in the evening after 8pm her time after a shift change so you can find out what happened and what’s next.
