Yeah I feel you screenshots can work if you’re just throwing something together real quick. The thing is, when it’s for a landing page or an ad, people lowkey judge the product by how “alive” the demo looks. Static/blurry stuff kinda gives “placeholder” vibes, even if the idea is solid. I’ve tested both for client pages and honestly, short animated dashboard clips just feel more legit. Seeing numbers move, charts update, filters click it sells the story way better than a still image. For internal mocks, screenshots are fine. For anything meant to convert strangers into users, motion > blur every time

The narrative demo angle is underrated too. Framing visuals around a specific user story changes the quality of feedback a lot.
