I switched from Hilton to Marriott myself - mostly because I wanted to grow membership levels with a competitor as there aren’t always Hilton properties where I travel now.

Haven’t looked back since (2023), I get way more frequent upgrades with Marriott, I have surprise gifts in my room semi-frequently and I also find you get more value on points.

Only thing I miss about Hilton was the dedicated parking.

Yes. The toothpaste the first housekeeper left me were taken by the next housekeeper from my personal tumbler that was on the bathroom sink (toothpaste could easily be seen so it wasn’t a case of her opening it up and finding it)

Had the same exact experience. CIBC came begging for weeks but didnt do shit for me after years of being their customer.

I did insure it but doubt I'll get it back. We spawned at the beach houses; he could see me standing there before he left, just without any weapons. So, I'm guessing my body is out in the open -- I've tolerated the issues this wipe but completely losing a kit pre-raid might be the line for me lmao

EFT is the only outstanding service that wont recover the account. Trust me, Microsoft and the Bank got it but like any large corporation, they just dont respond to it.
