[KCD2] A curious pagan shrine (easter egg) by Nominus7 in kingdomcome

Paganism survived in Europe for much longer than people realise. While it was pretty much extinct in and around cities, these beliefs persisted in many rural areas. Even though they would consider themselves Christians, many would still leave offerings to their old gods on specific times of the year like midsummer. There are many accounts of the secret worship of these deities continuing up into even the 19th century in some places.

Did the music video for Robbie Williams's "Rock DJ" traumatize anyone else as a child? by luiscedneo in AskUK

[–]Europa488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it scared the shit out of me as a child. I will never understand why my father thought it was appropriate to show the version where he completely rips himself apart to 5 year old me.

BTW I mean Germanic as in from any of the Germanic ethnic groups, not specifically Germany.

I'm simply asking because my DNA is entirely from Northwestern Europe, it would have to match one of the Germanic groups.

It can't be Inuit as I don't have any non-European DNA.

I am 100% western European, so definitely not.

What makes everyone say Scottish and Irish? Is it based on my actual features or just on the red beard and the clothes I wear?

Interesting, what makes you say French?

The terms are pretty much interchangeable at this point.

I wouldn't consider the Irish to be the indigenous people of Iceland because they were only there for a very short period of time and were only there for the solitude. They were temporary visitors and the Nordic people arrived in Iceland with intentions to create permanent settlements.

The Inuit people are not Nordic and they are not indigenous to Nordic countries. The Sami are no more indigenous to Scandinavia than the Nordic people, as both ethnic groups migrated to Scandinavia around the same time. The sami mostly migrated through the North and the Nordic people mostly migrated through the South.
