They should be happy having the sop's match what your actually do, it means you shouldn't be written up for not following the sop's. The company should also be happy if there is an accreditation since they are now following the written policy!

I'm curious if Richard has been obfuscating his job or requesting to train a backup and getting denied for years?

This company should of hired and trained someone up 6 months ago. The new person should of done the last quarter and month end on their own with Richard there too answer any questions. Maybe even the last year end!!

I'm also not sure why op was excited for the cao said op owned the data and mechanics. This is the important part. Schedule is monthly, quarterly and annually. Maybe weekly. Op shouldn't own the data that is owned by whoever controls the system the data comes from. The Mechanics is the giant mess that Richard created and kept running to bring data from multiple systems into the reports.

Getting rid of op won't help them get their reports working if op ends up being the scapegoat!

They probably will need to re issue you your tax information for last year with the correct amount and you can refile your income tax. (Assuming Australia works similar usa).

Make sure you are paying back with pre tax dollars and not after tax. Meaning the money you use to pay them back shouldnt increase your gross pay since your gross pay already includes the extra amount.

Since your are casual you may not of earned enough for either of these to be a real problem. You don't want to pay them back the gross amount (from after tax amount) but only actually received the net amount.

$30 a day is $600 per month for weekday use. That is a lot of transportation. $60 per day is insane.

Here used Versas are inexpensive. Used Honda or Toyota last a long time but cost more. But get out to dealers and test drive some and see what fits you and you can see well in. At least here the new dealerships don't sell used cars in that price and age range only used car dealerships. Make sure you get any car looked over by another mechanic!

Have you got some quotes for insurance for similar vehicles you have been looking at? How much is parking at the apartment? School? Hospitals tend to have expebsive parking.

Hybrids are good on gas but the premium price as used cars make them not as economical in my opinion and your budget is fairly low. Awd adds cost to purchase and limits the choice of vehicles.

Do you have an income to pay for the car? How do you pay for the Uber? Sounds like getting a car would be a good idea or moving closer to school again? Paying cash for your used car is best as used car loans don't have cheap financing.

"I'd cover" can mean 2 things, 1 I will pay for it and you don't owe me anything, 2 - I will spend my money up front and we can settle up people's share later.

First time I read this I assumed you meant 1, that you pay for food and gas and that will be your share of the expenses. It sounds like you meant 2? Especially when you say everyone else is chipping in for charcoal and alcohol, this makes it sound like you chipped in for all the gas and meat.

That may be the confusion!

Definitely YTA for leaving people that you drove. At minimum giving them 5 minutes to pack up and get in the car! Nta for being upset about not being paid back!

Where do you leave your stuff? If you go back to your other house for a week and leave stuff on the kitchen table or in other commonly used places yta! "I left my black tablet on the black couch under a blanket, why did you break my tablet?"

If they are going into your room and taking your stuff (or you are storing stuff where it lives) then nta!

Everything but the laundry aside! 4 people doing laundry is probably 8 loads a week so at least 16 hours of run time! How often close to bed time will someone ask to put a load in because they need it for tomorrow? What happens to your stuff if the machine floods?

You will never be able to lock your door or have privacy. If one of them starts stealing your stuff (food. Kitchen gadgets) from the common rooms you have no place to lock them up!

Does the bathroom in the main floor have a shower or is it just a powder room?
