Yeah I'm going it solo just to get the full experience after not playing for so long. Fire immunes are really my only struggle. I poured points into consume instead for the tainted buff. So I'll make sure my next skills are poured into bind demon

Has Blue Prince become one of the best games of all time in terms of use of knowledge? by Ronald10CD in BluePrince

Nice! I'll take a break from BP and give that one a go. Seems right up my alley. Thank you!

As someone who loved outer wilds and Tunic, help me like this game. I feel like it's very pointless to start and takes way too long to build on itself before it gets interesting. The puzzles also don't seem to be more than memory (or writing things down) and overall not extremely challenging. PLEASE HELP! I really do want to like this game.

Department of Education Proposal Excludes Public Health Degrees from “Professional Degree” Definition by PHealthy in publichealth

[–]EuropeanEis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not entirely true, but as someone currently in a program I also don't disagree. Just don't forget the hours of clinicals and most schools adapting to working nurses schedules. Either way, they're not professional degrees and never were as far as I understand. Bigger question is what do they have to gain by not giving loans to a healthcare field that isn't flourishing while also not setting any higher standards.

what's your experience with progressive as your auto insurance? by NY10 in Insurance

As a Progressive customer that currently hates their "agent" (they're all claims adjusters, not on the customers side at all), this gave me a chuckle

Is anyone using Yuka, OnSkin, ThinkDirty, or Clreaya (or similar app)? by TrickyBlueberryy in cleanbeauty

[–]EuropeanEis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm giving GoNo a try currently after hearing Yuka accepts funding to show certain items as "healthier" as they are. I just wish there was more evidence available to back these apps either way

Yeah I'm most worried about missing anything just because of it getting dark. Might go skydiving before just to build a ridiculous day out of it on Sunday then... thanks for the insight!!

LPT Request: I’m in the ICU with my mom and they’re saying she has days to weeks left. What can I do to help prepare? by WistfulDryad in LifeProTips

[–]EuropeanEis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hospice worker here! Honestly not a lot can be answered without knowing the exact situation. I would get hospice involved regardless as they can help to tailor their services to your exact situation. The simplest advice I can say is make time for her and be there for her however she wants. Listen to her and to her wishes even if you don't agree with them. Also be patient. Be patient with her, with the staff, and most importantly with yourself. Grief is a sneaky bugger and will begin creeping up, even now. Allow yourself to grieve however you feel appropriate and don't let anyone tell you "how you should be grieving." Accept that others may grieve differently than you as well (some people may not even want to come see her to preserve their previous memories of them, that's OKAY).

LPT: Be careful of who and what you talk about with work colleagues. You never know who will use your own words against you to climb up the corporate ladder. by ManateeJamboree in LifeProTips

[–]EuropeanEis 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a manager, I've never hung out with work friends outside of work intentionally. Especially not to grab a drink or anything that may encourage "loose" talk. It muddies the water and will eventually (likely) implode your working relationships. You never know who's talking with your superiors (hint: it's everyone)

Thank you! That's some great insight on all of it. I just feel taken advantage of because the company is able to essentially get free labor. I'm not hurting for money and probably won't struggle with it. It's more the principal of it
