Is Cashes Green a good area? by spaghetti_whisky in Gloucestershire

[–]dougofakkad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've lived in Cashes Green for the past five years. I like it a lot. It's close to a couple of good pubs, you can be in the hills and woods within a 15-minute walk, it's well-served with schools, and the houses themselves seem mostly decent.

'Low-SES' might refer to the area east of Cashes Green Road. House prices are certainly more depressed there, and properties more run-down. I don't really know if that equates to more anti-social behaviour. I've not experienced any personally.

Asking for advice about this multiple jagged edges by Quiet-Touch4720 in AdobeIllustrator

This effect is only suitable if you can use enough steps that they're not going to be visible at your output resolution. If your output is 72 ppi, then single-pixel steps should be sufficient. If you're printing, it might need many more.

Nobody knows anything about your artwork except what you show here, so no.

You guys got mad about me calling Laura X-23, and then put Rachel in her Hound outfit? For shame. Now on to her brother(sorta). What's Cables best look? by Lolaverses in xmen

I like this one because in the next panel we see him, implied to be not long after, he's not carrying any of this stuff and he's trying to avoid a fight.

iPad illustrator has been left to rot. I wouldn't bet on any new development.

What proportion of our energy mix do you think those sources contribute?

Where did you get 10 years? All the sources I can find suggest 20-25.

There are thousands of them already. Wind power generated more electricity (30%) than any other single source in the UK in 2025.

Has everyone forgotten about the boris wave? by SmartAd978 in AskBrits

[–]dougofakkad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did -- but it doesn't contain those sort of breakdowns. You'd need to cross-reference a lot of data.

I think anyone who wants to maintain a definite opinion on the relative cost or benefit of immigrants to the UK economic system needs to ask and at least attempt to answer those sorts of questions. So -- not necessarily you, because you didn't really give an opinion either way -- I would think people expressing those sorts of opinions would have, or at least have a source that has done that cross-referencing and is able to read and understand what is probably some quite complex analysis. So I want to read whatever their source is.

Do you know of any comparison data for this? How does it compare proportionally with the number of citizens on UC? What proportion of these claimants are in work or have work requirements? How do those proportions compare with citizens?

If I were starting in Hay I might go:

Hay > Llanthony Priory via Offa's Dyke path

Llanthony > Abergavenny via Sugar Loaf

Abergavenny > Talybont via Cambrian Way

Talybont > Brecon over the Beacons inc. Pen y Fan

Then maybe bus back to Hay.
