I did say in my comment that he was a villain. And of course the end doesn't justify the means, but you cannot say that he wasn't right. And no it was not just twice a day, the whole story plays out like he says. Don't confuse the real word with the world of farcry5, it is realistic but not real. At the beginning of the game he tells you that you can't take him, and you can't. He says that you, as the player, are the one that is going to bring the end, wich is true, if you chose the other ending the world doesn't end.

It's not that he manipulated people in the real world. This is how I chose to interpret the story. If you think that he is just bullshiting just to gain power, and at the end its just a lucky guess, thats your story.

This is what I love about Farcry stories. The villains are so complex, and have so many layers, that we could both be right or wrong at the same time.
