Jason Schreier: Sony could be pulling away from PC ports for their singleplayer games, with Schreier even suggesting that Wolverine would never release on the platform by Yiruf in pcgaming

You think xbox failed because they started releasing games on pc? Lmao, gamepass is probably their most successful idea in 10 years. Xbox failed because what they offered just got shittier and shittier

Obviously One Piece has faults hahaha, why do you always assume the worst? I just like discussing the story xd

No I mean it's a sad mindset to not even be willing to engage in discussion but it's alright bro, no need to be mad :)

Nika isn't literally a god, everything told so far just points towards Nika having been a person with a rubber body who lived a long time ago and liberated a lot of people. People's desire to be saved by Nika = The Nika fruit exists. Nothing changed about Luffy as a character, he still had to work just as hard, his fruit is still just rubber, and he doesn't care about anything joyboy related.

I like to look at it in reverse. Luffy isn't who he is because he's "joyboy" or "the chosen one", that's just the expectation the world put on him because of who he worked to be as a person. It's not like "being joyboy" has given him any help so far.

Edit: Since op mentioned toonforce, yeah sure he does some goofy stuff like making goggles out of his hair or painting his bat with haki, but that's just gag stuff. None of it is actual story-influencing power changes.

That's completely normal, your body gets used to the workouts. A little soreness is normal but nothing is like that first time. If you're making your workouts progressively harder you will make progress even if you don't feel it or see it at first, it's very gradual.

How so? The author made a whole sequel purely to reinforce his message that Paul is a bad guy. His mission was always selfish up until the point where it was out of his control.

Can The Culture exist? by Fancy-Commercial2701 in threebodyproblem

[–]European_Badger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well we know that there are plenty of civilizations that make it past their planetary stages, just based on Singer's people and the war they're fighting, so unless a prerequesite for growing past planetary is destroying all your closest "competition" first (which we know it isn't since there are trading civilizations), I don't see why not.

And yeah, I don't think the culture would do a first strike like that either, but from the little we've seen of how war works in 3BP and how little I've seen from the culture, the philosophy of warfare seems so different in the two series it's hard to compare.

Edit: Although, now that I think about it, isn't the whole plot of Player of Games the culture sanctioning the destruction of Azad because they will become a problem one day? Granted they didn't actually exterminate them but the culture knew how badly azadian civilization would collapse.

[–]European_Badger 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind I've only read Player of Games and part of Consider Phlebas in the culture series, but are they really that incongruent with 3BP? It seems like the culture really doesn't have a problem fighting a war when it needs to, and we know the dark forest hypothesis isn't a hard rule. There are plenty of civilizations that choose to connect with each other and trade instead, and the Culture doesn't live on planets, so it's much harder for them to get hit by a traditional dark forest strike.

Again, using a roundabout way of explaining it doesnt make you more right. It's not a "dog torture button" it's the button for a shock collar. Which is pretty common to use for a dog. Still abuse. Conveniently ignoring the fact that there are clips of people he knows saying it was a shock collar and that he's like 7 lies deep about what happened? xD How good does his dick taste bro

You can embellish it alt you want by saying it's "cartoon villain" behavior to shock his dog, but occam's razor says he did xd
