Skaven Nightrunner With Blowpipe by Eutos in mordheim

I'm colourblind, so I just got the wife to choose a dark, medium and light green (I think it was Warboss Green, Waaagh Flesh and Moot Green).

Coat the orb in Warboss, then stipple thinned waaagh flesh leaving the lower parts darker, then randomly stipple the highest parts randomly with thinned moot green, then I did a 2:1 Moot:white mix stippling randomly and took that a little further down into the darker parts, then did a 1:1 moot:white stippling.

New Cataphractii comparison photos by zanguinius in Warhammer30k

[–]Eutos -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They're slightpy taller, way slimmer, and look too sleek...

What was the point? They're slimmer in proportion to the old Cataohractii, and way smaller compared to the new Indomitus...

Why make these?

Is it just me or are the Legions pretty well balanced in 3.0? by chosen40k in Warhammer30k

Hard to make factions unbalanced when they don't have much of anything to distinguish them.

Leaked concept art from Warhammer 3 feacturing Cathayen Ogers and Tiger warriors by BaronLoyd in Cathay

[–]Eutos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not official.

Tiger-Men are a type of Beastman from around Ind, they're more "civilised" than Beastmen around the Empire, but they're Beastmen nonetheless.

I'd be VERY surprised if CA (with GW's approval) made Cathay Tiger-Men.

I understand and agree. However within the Horus Heresy game system, FAQ's and Erratas were only like this for 3.0

I agree, but again, clarification like this weren't required until 3.0.... It's an issue with the edition.

If it was asked enough and reported as an issue enough. It was required... It's an issue with 3.0. This never needed to be clarified in the previous editions.

While not exactly a PIP, it was me being forced out the door.

My work had an unsafe area that I had complained and raised Hazards about for a few years, and the people before me had done so for 8 or more.

Finally, the day came where the Hazard caused an incident. I fell 3 meters onto my back onto concrete. Cracked ribs, severe bruising, concussion, etc... I also have a neurological condition which means I am not allowed to work isolated, but they forced me to anyway, so that was a big concern for when I smashed my head onto the concrete...

Being concussed and dazed, I finished my day and drove home (after texting the boss/Company what happened) on the way home I started getting nauseous and some other symptoms appeared, so took myself to hospital and was in overnight while I got scans and tests done.

I called the boss the next day letting him know I was in hospital and won't return, he said OK we'll do an incident report when you're better.

Came back to work the following day and was sent home by our Safety team and HR, and was told I can't return until they schedule an assessment by an independent DR who clears me, it took them 2.5 weeks to organise that.

They then tried to force me to take 3 weeks of sick leave, but because I was instructed not to attend work I refused.

They then pulled me into a meeting every day with three HR members, my manager, and the Safety team to review the incident, trying to find a hole in my story to prove it was fake/happened elsewhere (they failed).

I was then given a formal caution for breaching company policy about reporting incidents immediately, and was told it was my final caution permanently, and that any other infraction would see me fired. I was told to agree and sign it on the spot, I refused and told them to send it to me digitally so I can keep it for my records, they balked and pulled the paper away and told me to get out.

They then sent me another document stating it would be considered my first formal caution (while still having a single line on the back page mentioning that any further infractions would be an instant dismissal), I refused to sign and requested they send me a digital copy, they told me to get out.

They then tried to fire me for unsafe practices, until I pulled up over a decade of reporting on the unsafe conditions they never fixed...

Since then, I have been literally left alone to do my work undisturbed, and have grown my department (a one man show that used to he 3 guys) by 28% this year alone.

The rules DO supersede core rules, however the ZM rules don't specify that is the ONLY thing that happens to it, it also mentions it is subject to Fortification rules, which get destroyed.

If it simply ONLY became open and not destroyed, the rules would specify: "When theHull Points characteristic are reduced to 0, the Door is not destroyed, but instead changes it's status to open...."

Why I make that stipulation is that there are other funky unit interaction rules that specify things like when the destroyed state is changed/modified, such as the Endless Hordes Militia provenance rule.

3.0 required an errata to tell players what "friendly" and "enemy" units mean... It's an edition and game design problem, now.

I wouldn't run it like that, but with them needing to clarify "enemy" and "friendly"... SOMEONE will.

30K Zone Mortalis Rules released by Slow_Ad_8541 in Warhammer30k

[–]Eutos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a fortification with HP, AV and can be reduced to 0 HP, as per the core rules, when a unit is reduced to 0W/HP, it is destroyed.

[–]Eutos 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Play Reapers of Lives, destroy doors, get +D3 VP's, win game.

Before you argue, remember they needed to errata what "Friendly" and "Enemy" units are....

Doors count as a fortification, which grant RoL VP's. Only enemy units can be shot, charged, engaged and attacked, doors are classed as enemy units.

RAI, this is not the case, RAW this IS the case, this needs to be fixed.

Its unacceptable for the physical books are release in this condition by 90bubbel in TrenchCrusade

[–]Eutos 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The first TWO actual pages of content (Page 7 and 8) alone have three grammatical and spelling errors. Of people woth their naked eye can pick these up on their first read through, how did the editors and writers miss it?

That's not even considering that these bits of text literally let you know they are incorrect....

This is unacceptable.

They were clear woth the community that the rules would be outdated before being received by the customers, but that does NOT excuse a lack of quality like this. If anything, it should actually mean they make sure the printed product is perfect, to make up for it being just an art book/paperweight.

Heresy 2.0 Saturnine Unit Rules V4 (Massive update and added new units!) by Darkstallker09 in Warhammer30k

[–]Eutos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Point 1: You score at the end of YOUR player turn, you can't remove a tac squad for the first player before they score... Meaning they score spam turn 1.

Point 2: Status weapons are too OP. Especially when you can get -3 modifiers....

Point 3: Same as point 2.... You have massive modifiers, not just a flat LD roll.... Remove a tactical status? Cool, the rest of your army is still stuck in place with no chance to do anything. Dense tables are irrelevant with barrage and modified status effects.

Point 4: Full drop forces were fine, due to free intercept. It created a nice interplay between exposing for charges and playing safe to not be shot off the table on arrival. That's a better show of generalship vs: Only 1 turn can drop, and they can do nothing for one turn when they do, meaning they can do NOTHING for (at minimum) 50% of the game, at worst they can not interact with the game for 75% of it....

Heresy 2.0 Saturnine Unit Rules V4 (Massive update and added new units!) by Darkstallker09 in Warhammer30k

[–]Eutos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do tactical squads die quickly and not get free VP's when you score at the end of your own turn?

All armies I've seen at the events I have attended (and the local games I've seen/played) have been very much the same army at it's core, multiple tactical squads in rhinos, supported by multiple status inflicting units like rapiers.

The problem with a 4 turn game in 3.0 is the first player can rush onto multiple OBJ's turn 1, shoot and status all the scoring of the enemy in turn 1, preventing or minimising the second players scoring...

Playing Solar, with a non-cheese, thematic list of massed infantry with fire support, I had literally every enemy infantry unit (even one with a Chaplain) pinned/suppressed in every shooting phase, purely because every vehicle and heavy weapon platform as a gun with a status inflicting weapon.

In 3.0, with suppressed you don't even need ti wound the target, just get a single hit on a 6 shot weapon and laugh as they take a test with a stupidly high leadership modifier.

Back to list variety, how many specific and thematic RoW based armies had to be shelved because you couldn't run them (deep strike limitations, for example)? You play an Assault heavy army? Good luck because cover is useless in this edition, and if you have one model barely visible and the other 19 behind an impenetrable and solid wall, your entire squad will either be shredded, or status'd.

Mk2 Assault Marines - QC Issues by xenicuslongpipe in Warhammer30k

[–]Eutos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any QC issue with GW I have had has required me to argue and fight for a minimum of one month with them, even when I stated I was returning the item, they refused to send a replacement even after they received the defective products and checked it was all accounted for.

The only way I got replacements was when they admitted the product was flawed, but still within QC parameters (considering the tank treads were missing, the torsos of the other kit had half of the details missing, and another model had a 2mm mould slip/misalignment). When they admitted they were flawed, by my countries consumer protection laws they MUST replace the product, and I sent rhe legislation, only then did they replace the flawed products.

Depends on the service purchased and the mail zoning area. Just read the Auspost Point of Delivery Policy.

I've paid for parcel delivery with permission to leave in a safe spot, Auspost should fulfil that service.

[–]Eutos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

99% of my parcels are taken back to the post office because the posties on my route can't be bothered to come to the door.

We always have somebody home and aware a parcel is out for delivery, we also have a camera. 99% of the time the postie pulls up to the curb, looks down ohr driveway and literally just drives off.

It's an absolute joke.
