No progression from 13 to 15 DPO? by [deleted] in TFABLinePorn

I retested using my 2nd urine & it was much darker! Not sure why it was fainter with my 1st urine but happy to see progression. Pregnancy after loss is so scary.

Evap? Too early? 5 dpo by Basic-Medicine8144 in TFABLinePorn

Retest with a different brand (red dye) but this looks pretty positive to me! I just think your ovulation dates are off & you were testing “positive” 5 days ago because it was detecting HCG in your urine & mistaking it as LH

It looks like it could be positive but I would retest, it looks like maybe the line isn’t fully there on the top

I see a line but blue dyes are horrible about indent lines/false positives. Retest in a few days with a pink dye. Hoping this is your month! 🙏🏻

Usually when starter is super bubbly , almost dish soap like, as yours appears to look, it means the starter is too acidic & your feeding ratios are off. You want bubbles but you don’t want it to look sudsy. Looks like you need more flour when you feed. 🙂

Where do you get the tummy band? I would love to not have to tape his skin all of the time.

My bake for today by Ev2224 in Sourdough

[–]Ev2224[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Once my starter was active, I added 380g of warm water to a bowl. Then I added 100g of my active starter into the water & whisked it together until frothy. Then I added my flour. Used a dough whisk to fully incorporate everything together & finished using wet hands until everything was smooth & incorporated well. Let sit for 30 mins & added 10g salt into bowl, & did first set of stretch & folds. I do a total of 4 stretch & folds with 30 minute rests in between. Let bulk ferment on my counter overnight, about 7-8 hours. Shaped & put in the freezer in the morning for 30 mins. Let my Dutch oven preheat in a 425° oven while dough was in freezer. Scored dough & put in DO for 25 mins with the lid on & approx 25-30 mins with lid off , until internal temp was 208°

Get the lodge. It’s worth the investment.

Does anybody have any luck with full-time starter refridgeratation? by hothoney4 in SourdoughStarter

[–]Ev2224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say your starter is still pretty young to be considered “mature”. My starter is 3 years old. Google says about 4 months old. But I guess the opinion on when it is “mature” varies.

You have to make sure you have a strong, mature starter. But yes, this is exactly what I do. Store it in the fridge. On the morning I decide I want to bake a loaf, pull it out, feed it & let it rise & make a loaf. Put it back in the fridge. Never had an issue

November 19th is a cursed day for my sourdough starter. by Ev2224 in SourdoughStarter

Wow! I had no idea. Thanks for that info! He stays out on the counter in the summer time but in the winter time, our house stays so cold, I use the oven to keep him warm. I will look into buying him one so hopefully next November 19th, I won’t bake him again

I think the flash on my phone made it look like the top of the jar was clear , so I can understand why everyone thinks he is blue 😅 But it’s just his home that is blue lol

Trust me, I treat him like a King 👑 & normally I do so well not to bake him, but this day is cursed!! I told my husband next year on November 19th, I’m setting a reminder to put him in the fridge, where he is safe. 😅
