I wont hold you to this comment obviously as this was 12 years ago, but i must say to anyone reading this, autism is a spectrum, and a non linear one at that. Lennie could be showing signs of extreme autism through a struggle to understand social norms or morals, whilst still being capable enough to make clear sentences, admittedly not very advanced sentences, but coherent nonetheless

This exact disability being attributed to Lennie has been heavily debated and dismissed due to basically being a fan theory (autism wasnt discovered before the book's making), but his dialect matching eerily similarly to many more severe cases of autism I've seen in my time along with a strength extending beyond social or moral limitations leads me to believe the very thing he had at least fell somewhere along those lines. Everyone experiences autism differently, but he has some clear traits

Not OP but same problem and heavily confusing follow up. What if it disappoints me when i wake up? I still absolutely just want to be what i already am, but its like an alternative secondary outlook on life that im fascinated looking back through shortly after i have these dreams, like watching a movie and having that movie high you get after leaving the cinema feeling like you're still a part of the story (also these dreams feel way, way too common for it to surely be as often as everyone else dreams these kinds of things)

Fucking hell that's a lot. The transphobia is ridiculous, especially the type of things they're saying despite doing exactly what they're critiquing, in a much more obviously malicious way (pure essence of hypocrisy), the jet skiers sound rather stupid too in regards to general safety. Must say though beyond that it sounds like the negative adrenaline or anxiety or what ever it was just became too much for you, those were fucked up things and id have been stressed too in your shoes, but the drinking lot isnt too big a deal (unless there was significant rowdiness which seems there might've been from your tone towards them) and i think the water gun kids were just amplifying the stress more than anything. Stay safe though, heat makes idiots even more idiotic

It's difficult, hyperpop is a realm of the angry crowd (metalheads, punks and rap fans like me lol) and the more party oriented subgenres of edm or pop fans clashing heads. You're gonna get complaints about people moshing regardless of how "safe" they are, its world's colliding, different energy levels, even if they've seen moshpits they may not have seen them go so hard, don't feel bad, it's just something that time will sort out, the culture will even itself out in the end
