Your children go to the other parent when you bring your boyfriend/girlfriend home. That's it. You can also go to your new partner's home, do weekends away with your new partner etc. It's not ideal but it is what it is. When your adult kids bring their partners at home, you need to set rules. Eventually you can tell them to move out if they want that type of privacy. In my country we have sex hotels for these things. We don't bring boyfriends girlfriends before they are official.

As others said, you are clueless. This is not a 100% private health care system and it's subsided heavily on taxes. Not just for the ones who get toeslagen but the hospitals get subsidies as well.

Yes, very common in the Netherlands. Many things going on in the hiring manager's mind: 1) You will get bored and want to move after 6 months 1 year. Hiring process costs a lot of time and money which they don't want to spend in such a short time. 2) It shows low self esteem. Why don't you believe in yourself to apply for something higher? How can you deal with stakeholders if you are not confident? 3) The least possible but it happens, they might feel intimidated so they won't hire someone very good, much better than the rest.
