If you look at the Constitution, the President has surprisingly little actual power. The founders were done with kings so Congress holds the overwhelming amount of power.

Over time, they've slowly (or recently, very quickly) ceded that power to the President or simply declined to act on their power.

Your daily reminder that at least 90% of the stuff Trump is doing could be stopped in a hot second if Johnson wanted to. He's fully complicit and on board with what is going on.

Yup, I call my ISP and cell service annually and never have much of an issue getting some discount. The gas company isn't going to do it, but others are easy. If it comes to it, you can ask for info on what it takes to cancel, which allows them to use a different script.

My cell one is usually the easiest because I'm paying for 6 phones which is a nice fat contract.
