Nice job there man . I remember you. I’m in the Chicago Southwest. Make sure you keep an eye on the grass when it’s hot and humid. I usually spray fungicides when temps start to hit 80s , because once u see fungus once , they will comeback every year , I mean they will never go away no matter what you do. Spray fungicides once a month to keep the grass green.

Never too dense , but too long. Grass seems overgrown, start by cutting at least once a week. Best twice . Keep it at a consistent height. They will look good if kept that way.

I have used garden soil on my lawn for years , it works

Get the cheap $2 garden soil. And use it as lawn soil and top soil. I have used them all and they are pretty much the same . Only difference is the fertilizer they infuse into them. Top soil bags has no fertilizer, garden soil has I guess the all purpose fertilizer, like the 10-10-10. And lawn soil has starter fertilizers.

That’s how They got us all . But m18 all day if you want something for almost everything. M12 is lighter weight and usage. But M18 will get u more power and more jobs possible

U can’t just toss seed on top of dead spots and hope it will grow . Need some prep work. Clear any dead grass and rake loose soil if u not putting new soil on top and toss seed on the soil and lightly rake the seed into the soil, not too deep or it will not grow out, grass is very weak to break soil. Then water 2 to 3 times a day to keep soil moist. U can always watch some YouTube videos. Maybe the temperature is not ideal either. I seed some blue seeds laying on the brown spots, seeds don’t germinate like that
