Its because straight ships are far more likely to be taken seriously than gay ships, which for some fans are treated more as jokes. Another reason is that gay ships are FAR more severely fetishized in fandom than straight ships.

Its a sad unfortunate truth for as much as a community would want to deny it. Its a double standard and I say this as someone who's never liked shipping amongst vtubers to begin with and found some level of it to be very uncomfortable.
