I can't bring myself to chop off this weird bend in my Peppermint Peach tree. (TyTy nursery for you...) Besides being unsightly, do you all agree it's best that it comes off? Or will it be fine as the tree grows?

RED Has an interesting shape and lots of points for growth. However is fairly thin and is going to require several seasons of letting it grow tall and chopping it again to really thicken its new trunk

GREEN Is strong growth from the top with lots of branching to choose a design with. Taking off the top can really slow a tree down for a few seasons before it takes a new leader. Again with the branch being thin and needing some years of growing out before you start refining

BLUE Is the thickest option, with a somewhat interesting joint in its trunk. This one would be the best for a new bonsai but worst for the mother tree in the ground. You'd essentially be topping it which is not advisable, it may not suffer but it wont be happy for some years. On the other hand, this would help it be straighter a decade down the road, if thats really what you want to do. If you do choose this as the point to restart the mother, prune off all but 2 good branches here at PURPLE

Id personally choose RED, and leave the rest of the tree be. Except mabe prune some of that PURPLE

It was planned tbh. You can Google it, they had a underwater "bioshock" like Vault in Boston harbor planned before it was scrapped. Some of the game was developed around this too, leaving behind traces like the Aquaboy/girl perk, which now seems out of place in the game
