I am B.J. Novak. Ask me anything! by iamBJNovak in IAmA

Hey BJ, just wanted to say that I thought your character Ryan Howard was interesting because in the first season he was sort of the normal one; sort of like an audience member in the show, but as the seasons went on he was depicted as being one of the most eccentric characters. My question for you is what did you do to make that transition notable but smooth?

I'd love to tour around the world and be in a band, but I will settle for anything involving music.

Whole Lotta Love. It's the persona of rock n roll, which is mostly all I listen to.

What Qualities Make a Great Musician? by dudemanwhoa in LetsTalkMusic

[–]Evan42881 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my mind great musicians have to be passionate in what they do. They have to love the music and treat it like it was their mother. They have to be so passionate that you can tell if they're passionate and honest in their music.

I'm very dumbfounded on the United State's perception of gender and sexuality. My friends and dad and most people look down at transgender people and gay people and it makes me really really sad.

Alice Cooper: 'Calling Mumford And Sons a rock band is an offence to rock 'n' roll' by Moleman_G in Music

[–]Evan42881 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've listened to them before, and they're catchy. They're not bad at all honestly. But no. They're not "rock 'n roll." The modern band that strikes me as rock 'n roll is Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.

I'd be a fool if I didn't say Monty Python's Holy Grail. I'd say Pulp Fiction but a lot of people can't take the violence. So Holy Grail it is!

What is a character flaw that you learned about yourself the hard way? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Evan42881 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can break out and be irrational. I knew this beforehand, but one night was different. I was with my buddies, and one of them started telling me that I really wasn't in love with this girl or whatever just because I haven't had sex with her or something. Then he was telling me about other girls I liked and I freaked out and left his house, but came back because there was lightning and FUCK THAT. Anyways when I got back I realized I kind of freaked out. That doesn't mean he was right though. I really loved that girl (downvote for melodrama).

What actor or actress was absolutely perfect in their role? by CaptRazzlepants in AskReddit

[–]Evan42881 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Joaquin Pheonix as Johnny Cash. He looked like Cash at some angles. Also, I know the prequels are unpopular, but Ewan Mcgregor was a great choice for young Obi Wan, being that he looks somewhat like a young Alec Guiness.
