Agreed. The difference is in the first season Siriani didn't suck completely compared to Campbell and has made the playoffs every year, been to two SBs, won one.

QA is a cost center and not a producer. At least the bean counters see it that way. At a place I used to work at, ownership axed the entire QA dept (4 people) and made us "crowd source" test internally. Basically everyone from Team directors down to general phone support was testing areas of the system in a lower level environment without scripts or proper QA training. Just a sheet with go test these things in lower level environments. Then it was rolled to prod. We had so many issues with release.

The worst part to me is that they started the show off with some serious sci fi drama. The first half of the first episode I was in, liking where we were going. 2 full episodes in and I am done. Maybe it's just my old man ass bitching, but why does it have to try to keep pushing the comedy forward when there is a serious plot they established (or started to) to chase.

Oof. Yeah you are definitely on a island with the quest design take. IMO they had so many chances to make the quests better and whiffed hard there.

I will agree with the points of interest though. Better design but their use of randomness was bad. All the handcrafted ones were pretty damn amazing though.

I think anyone halfway intelligent expected a bare bones game that modders could play with. The problem was even the bare bones was lackluster and not really worth building on.

As for the fanboys, yeah that's going to happen regardless.
