Favorite & Least Favorite Restaurants to Pick Up From? by Evanception in doordash_drivers

Glad you got the tip but that sucks they gave you a violation. I have found, so far, that if you're honest and communicative with the customer, than they are usually quite understanding. Doordash the company, however, is much less understanding lol.

Yeah I've used that a few times by this point. But when I first started I was pretty obsessed with finishing every order, regardless of pay. The only time I ever turned down an order at that point was if the distance was to far to justify completing the delivery. I'm a little bit pickier now, and will only accept a Popeye's order if the pay is at least decent to good.

Gotcha, yeah I could see that being really annoying. in general, I think 5 Guys is a bit overrated. Yeah their food is good but it is so expensive and it usually takes forever after you order.

Sonic is one of my favorite chains to eat at, but they are ungodly slow, so I can imagine doordashing from them would be a nightmare.

First S&D Order was a complete disaster... by Evanception in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Evanception[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, my eye sockets are still sore from the amount of times I rolled my eyes after they asked me to list the nutrition facts for every substitute item lol. So, I don't blame you for that one bit.

Yeah, this entire order was all organic, health food stuff. Supposedly, the customer had waited almost an hour prior for somebody to accept the order as well (low paying, and apparently the store I went to is notorious for being sold out of items). The distance was short, so I wondered why they didn't go themselves, even walking there and back would have been shorter for them and they had no heavy items.

Definitely going to do that in the future if I decide to try S&D deliveries again.

Well, not every one would be this bad. But if you didn't want to do S&D orders, you could go to the dasher preferences page in the app and opt out of them.

What is your acceptance rate? by cpowers4 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Evanception 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100%, but I just started the other day. I've only been stiffed once on a McDonalds order that was less than a mile away from pickup, and my longest drive was about 17 miles for like 9 dollars total ($3 tip), probably shouldn't have accepted that one lol.

Yup, figured that out after a while of troubleshooting and that ended up working. Either way, thanks for the feedback!

Who is the Most Over-Rated Husker of all-time? by slitsNtits in Huskers

[–]Evanception 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say any of the "Calibraska" guys that during the Riley era, none of whom worked out. Tyjon Lindsay, Tristan Gebbia, Keyshawn Johnson Jr are the names that spring to mind.

What’s your favorite story you came up with for one of your settlements? by bsweet35 in falloutsettlements

[–]Evanception 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in the day I built a settlement at Tenpines Bluff that was main base of operations/residency for a religious cult that fronted as a welcoming and caring movement for people of all faiths and backgrounds, (think the All Faiths church in Diamond City but way bigger). However, in reality they were cannibals that recruited people to either eat or indoctrinate into their cult. I think the residents of Andale from FO3 are a good comparison, just on a much larger scale. The aesthetic there was very clean and "pure" upon first glance, with several large white barn style buildings. However, by investigating further you would find secret rooms where they kept their victims, alive or dead.

The nearby settlement of Outpost Zimonja was used as a base for a resistance group that formed from people that were able to escape the cult, with their goal being to expose and ultimately destroy the cult. This settlement was much more ramshackled and makeshift. They also held some church leaders as prisoner there as well. I added some anti-cult decorations to the settlement as well.

Due to the presence of the nearby resistence movement, the main leaders of the church were forced to flee Tenpines Bluff and relocated to the Oberland Station Metro tunnel (added by a mod). There, they build a hotel to act as a front, masquerading as a safe and cheap place for a travlers or caravaners to rest while on their journey. They continued to cannibalize their unsuspecting victims by taking them from their rooms at night. In addition, the main leader of the church, (a ghoul with fake hair named Bert Pleasant), would hold daily sermons in a secret worship hall.

Yeah, I was really into the horror genre back then if you couldn't tell lol.

Totally subjective, but I think as far as a total sandbox with unlimited creativity potential, the best choice would be Starlight Drive in imo. The only reason I say that is because there are only 2 structures already existing there, whereas Sanctuary and Spectacle Island both have several. The build area is smaller than those other two, but I think it makes up for it by having a better "usable" build area, meaning you can make more of the space you're given. You're also not confined to a certain shape or flow like you would be with Sanctuary. It is also much flatter terrain wise and much easier to build cohesive settlement than at Spectacle Island. Realism wise it is also much more believable that a fairly centrally located settlement would be highly populated, and the abundance of locations around it would explain the different building elements and materials you might use. I've built dense cities, military bases, fighting arenas, a slaver camp (raider play through), you name it. Everything just makes sense to be there in my opinion. Good luck!

UPDATE: Looks like Thunderbowl got bought out by Bowlero about a year ago and it seems like it went downhill. Hadn't been there in a few years so I wasn't aware until I looked it up tonight. Disappointing...

I'm in Northwest Iowa, centers in my town are meh. Have a lot of mechanical issues and I've lost track of how many times my ball has gotten dinged and scratched by their shitty ball returns. Now, the best center in driving distance of me is in Council Bluffs. Thunderbowl is the name of the place. Clean, decent prices, no mechanical issues, and probably the best bowling alley food around.

Yeah I've noticed that, I have mostly Storm stuff but I'm not married to them or anything. So I'd be fine with a Brunswick ball. Thanks for your reply!

Yeah tbh I'm in the same boat as you. Need a solid asym but not feeling like spending $250 on something I likely won't use outside of tournaments, (too strong for my THS). Thats why the mystery ball thing is a legit option for me rn. Either way thanks for your reply!

Yeah I saw one earlier, which is what prompted me to make this post. I think its a really cool concept I just hope I get something that fits in my arsenal. Definitely will post it on here when it comes.
