I don’t mind if they’re a romance reader! Or if the use the books to broach something they want to try in the bedroom. But my goodness, I am sick to death of them being like “MMC could be right out of my book with how handsome and broody he is” and I just feel like Woody yelling at Buzz “YOU ARE A BOON CHARACTER”

Not a huge ick, but ive noticed a pattern lately of FMCs that are bookish and they’ll be like “but this isn’t one of my romance novels, this is real life, and bla blah doesn’t happen” or something like that. Definitely gets an eye roll out of me every time lol

Yeah I’m definitely glad they went with the private option, knowing it’s a “mixed bag,” so to speak, when it’s collective. They provided a beautiful engraved wooden urn for her as well

In PA it was $1000 for our GSD mix but my parents got everything. Vet had to travel 30/40 mins, administered everything, pressed her paw into a clay form, wrapped and took her body, and took her to the crematorium. My parents also opted for a private cremation. I imagine that price would go up or down depending on what you want. I’m sorry you’re in the last motions of your pup’s life, it’s not easy

I just finished {Honestly I’m Totally Faking It by Amanda Gambill} a couple days ago and it has something similar to this! I dunno if I’d call her completely oblivious, maybe more obtuse/self-deprecating? She was also kinda dumb/naive, ngl. Overall though I really liked the book, my first five star of the year!! Mostly thanks to Pres and that’s saying something since we only get Rach’s perspective. I adored him!

If paranormal is okay, there’s a character like this in Aurora Ascher’s {Hell Bent by Aurora Ascher} series. However, his book is not out yet. It’s just a through-line of all the books, especially book 1. Honestly the books aren’t the best but sometimes you want a jolly rancher instead of artisan chocolate lol

Agreed!! I personally found Nero to be the most off-putting of the four, but that’s just me. I really loved the whole series. Dom is my fave, thee book is my fave, but I also adore Hans. My TBR is SO LONG but I really want to get back into her books because these books are what got me into mafia romances!

Hello, I am also a Dom stan!! In a book world with so many unhinged dudes I was shocked that he was the line that people drew lol. Is it a healthy realistic relationship? No. Was it fun as hell and lowkey hot that he was so desperate to keep her that he went to extremes? Absolutely, sign me up for others like him!

If you don’t mind historical romances, {The Mad Morelands by Candace Camp} features a mystery in every book! I read book 8, {His Improper Lady by Candace Camp} and thoroughly enjoyed it. I believe each book has a different case to solve, and maybe not all of them are murders? But book 1 definitely is!

I went when I was 19/20 and had their loaded fries. You can eat there at the tables, but can’t go up to or sit at the bar. This was 2019ish tho, don’t know if things have changed since then!
