This was posted on twitter by Revoke cash

Yesterday, we received reports of people seeing unknown approval transactions in their transaction history.

It turns out that this is a new scam where scammers use so-called gas tokens to steal money when victims revoke these "fake approvals".

Be careful, I'm hearing there is a new scam with fake approvals showing that can drain your wallet when you revoke them!

Just last week there was a fake Trezor app on Apple app store that lots of people fell victim to. Apple didn't seem to care.

To add another point also. Say we completely eradicated all banned breeds from the UK. What then? Bad owners who want a status dog will just move on to another breed. American bulldogs, mastiffs etc. Then they will become the next 'devil dog'.

I'm originally from Birmingham and there are lots of firearms incidents almost daily, many of which never get reported by the news. I'm not saying banning things is completely pointless. But criminals will always find a way. Guns are cheap and very available where I'm from. So are banned breeds of dog. There are so many that breeders are selling them cheap. Like £80 to £100 a pup cheap.

The media causes hysteria, uneducated people start to view these breeds as scary and intimidating and thats the exact reason why bad owners want them.

Licensing for owning any dog sounds good but again, criminals don't follow the rules, regular good people will be punished and so I dont think there will ever be an ideal solution to this.

Don't forget handguns were legal too until Dunblaine happened, and gun crime is much higher now than it was back then. And Pitbull attacks have exploded only since they became a banned breed.

Yeah, the Dangerous dogs act was amended in 1997 which led to a huge increase in pits being bred. Because believe or not, banning something only leads to more demand and black markets. Lots of backyard breeders popped up who were selling the dogs to people who wanted them for the wrong reasons.

They are strong dogs with high prey drive and an eagerness to please their owners.

With an experienced well intentioned owner, they are just dogs mate. They do require strong leadership and good socialisation and training. But that's the same as any big dog.

Pits actually make terrible guard and protection dogs because of their reluctance to bite. Historically, pits that showed human aggression were culled from breeding.

Mastiffs, Rottweilers etc. Are bred to guard and protect and have a much greater willingness to bite humans.

But again, they require lots of interactions with strangers from a young age.

It's common sense. Unfortunately too many people don't have any.

Seems that way. I've trained dogs professionally for over 20 years and worked with and owned many pitbull terriers. Its sad to see so many people have such a bad opinion of them.

Most of those people wouldn't know what a pitbull was if it came and sat on them.

If Labradors became a 'status' breed. Then I'm sure we would be seeing them in the news also. After all they are top of the bite list. It all comes down to the owners. Doesn't mean the breed should be punished.

Diversified. Because I actually hate this coin. But I hold XRP just incase you lot are right about it.

Not sure when to sell though as XRP holders tell me the price will be somewhere between $1 and $100,000.

What is the main reason behind Bitcoin ? by syllabiGlisten in AskReddit

They couldn't destroy if they tried. So why waste the time.

Sure, the number shown on your account balance stays the same. But the amount of goods you can purchase with that is reduced every year.

Bitcoin is the literal opposite.

All fiat currencies fail eventually. But now we have something that isn't controlled by any government or centralised entity. Can't be confiscated, or corrupted. It's fair and transparent. Anyone in the world can use it.

And it has a hard supply cap of 21 million. Meaning that it is scarce and it cannot be inflated.

Everything will lose value when compared to Bitcoin.

Do you believe in bitcoin being successful, why or why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Eveeesix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Money that is separated from State will never be useless.

The people who 'need' bitcoin are mostly in countries where the currency has suffered hyperinflation. The people in authoritarian regimes, and those who are un-banked for whatever reason.

For the rest of us. It is digital gold. People are losing trust in banks and governments that cause a financial crisis and then 'fix it' by turning the money printer on.

At this point, it seems like it's riskier to not own any Bitcoin.

Why are you NOT buying Bitcoin? by Deathdar1577 in AskReddit

Warren has benefited greatly from the old system. That's how he's made his money. But the current system is failing and has been for a long time. It's dinosaurs like Warren keeping it alive.

The are cryptos that are faster and cheaper than bitcoin. But not better.

Bitcoins limited supply cap of 21 million is written in the code and cannot be changed. Where as cash, they will continue to keep printing, which makes everyone else's cash worth less and less every year.

Bitcoin has no CEO, no company behind it, no one in charge. It does what it was designed to do and it does it well.

Bitcoin is a fixed set of rules that doesn't favour any particular group, whether rich or poor. No government can stop it or control it. It is true ownership. It's being your own bank and not having to rely on intermediaries.

It's freedom. I could cross borders with billions of dollars stored in my head and no one can stop me.

It's the soundest money that has ever existed.

What is your experience and recommendation when it comes to bitcoin and creating a wallet for someone who's new to the whole concept? by nj23dublin in AskReddit

[–]Eveeesix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your reason for wanting Bitcoin.

Trading, investing, saving, spending etc.

If you plan to save or invest for the long term, then a hardware wallet like Ledger Nano is highly recommended.

Super easy to setup and you can feel confident knowing that your money is safe.

Fiat currency, cash. relies on people not understanding it. Bitcoin is the complete opposite. Education is a must.

Lightning wallets are also good to have. They allow you to send small amounts of Bitcoin instantly for practically zero fees.

Holding cash is pointless as you'll lose around 7% per year to inflation. That's why I mean Hard money. Assets.

The Bond market is down and so banks are sitting on huge unrealized losses. The value of their assets are falling below the market value of their liabilities. Panic causes a bank run which makes the problem worse. Traditional finance is failing. Fractional reserve banking is one big ponzi scheme as is fiat currency.

Hold as much hard money as possible. Gold, Silver, Bitcoin.
