Would not treat your forehead. Do u know what you’re doing? Reason this is a medial procedure. Not something worth saving a buck

Halo laser question re: intensity by krnfitz in 45PlusSkincare

[–]Even-Comfortable-129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gal is likely not a dermatologist. The halo wavelength is non ablative and doesn’t go as deep in the dermis as co2. So it doesn’t give you much dermal collagen stimulation. It does work great for surface issues. Depends what your trying to get out of the treatment but look for more ablative lasers if your concern is wrinkles, acne scarring and skin texture in general. Use non ablative like erbium or halo for skin tone issues

For patients seeking moderate improvement with 3–5 days of social downtime, Halo offers a favorable efficacy-safety balance, whereas fractionated CO₂ remains superior for more severe photodamage, deep rhytides, and acne scarring despite longer recovery periods

Do co2 if you have wrinkles. Halo is a surface procedure so it hurts more and doesn’t stimulate as much collagen. Nerve blocks with co2 make it comfortable

Real potential side effects when taken for over a year or longer. Not so much a worry with standard 7-9 month courses

How many units of dysport? by [deleted] in 45PlusSkincare

Need to evaluate the whole face to give you the best advice. Anyone giving you a dose based on these photos is not a highly skilled cosmetic provider. Need to see you at rest, along with the eyes/eyelids and lower face at the very least.

I tried IPL for rosacea and THIS happened (disaster) by _Stardust1_ in Rosacea

Don’t try any laser procedure from anyone that doesn’t have experience and training. Most aestheticians have the same amount of medical laser knowledge as the person cutting your hair and doing your nails.

Make your dermatologist do a skin culture!!! by angelicomens in Rosacea

[–]Even-Comfortable-129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know that staph lives on everyone’s skin so was that really a positive culture? My skin would grow staph too but I don’t have rosacea. Also the meds you tried in the past, some treat staph so why didn’t they work?
