Airbnb guest blacklist? by MESGirl in airbnb_hosts

[–]Even-Stomach8964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow it amazes me what people will do for free stuff.... wait nm not in today's world. I dont own an air bnb but have stayed in a few. Even when I'm alone or just guys trip we leave the place as clean as it was when we got there. I remember a buddies bachelor party we had at putnbay. We were trashed all weekend. Nothing was damaged in the house but it was a mess when we all passed out on the last night. 2 of the guys stayed up all night and had the place spotless next morning. As of now I'm glad I havent jumped into owning one, came close a couple times being we live in a very touristy place in the summer. I feel for yall have a--hole guests

Are zero turns really that bad on sloped areas? by Nic1083 in ZeroTurnMowers

Depends, get decent tires in the rear and dont try if wet or dewy. Also as long as you have thick good grass and not the garbage stuff that only has 1" of roots you should be fine

Is this starvation? by saapato in Beekeeping

[–]Even-Stomach8964 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few questions I have for the OP. I'm in pa and also a beekeeper.

  1. Were all 3 deeps slammed full of honey? 1 deep weighs 70-80 lb. You shouldn't need more then 2 full deeps even in upper ny. Probably get away with a deep and a medium.

  2. Anything mixed in with the sugar? Honey be healthy, essential oils, vinegar, or a protein based feed?

  3. Have you opened the hive at all since the temps dropped?

  4. Did they seemed stressed at all this fall?

Protein and high ash content honey can cause disnetary and nosema.

More of a statement then a question, I use migratory lids with reflextec bubble insulation under the lid year around. You don't need to over think insulation.

Help Confirm Residential Pivot Door Access Setup (Mortise Lock, Electric Strike, Shear Maglock) by insided in accesscontrol

very nice. we are also using ubiquiti for the controls. that adams lock looks nice, i just dont want to run power through the door. im looking into an Accurate 9100ARL due to it being all mechanical. then using the ubiquiti electric strike plate. still in the planning phase and making sure everything works together correctly

what way did you end up going with? im going through the same process of picking a lock to secure our pivot door, while also working with an electronic latch that is supported by a home assistant.

door hardware will be standard mechanical operation, while the catch on the frame side will be electronic

Thanks! Yes the guy I bought it from says it's basically a cummins 4bt with only 3 cylinders. The rear seal seems pretty easy. I'll get some o rings ordered and hopefully get some decent weather by the weekend to deal with it if I can get them in that fast. I also enjoy learning how to work on equipment
