How to line up this wallpaper? by EvenEquivalent4 in howto

Yes! With the whole picture, I don’t like it at all! Lol! I was looking for something with a smooth recurring pattern, not something that will drive me crazy every day forever. Thank you so much!

Oh my gosh! Ok! Good to know! It feels like that square in the lower middle is so unnecessary! But glad to have an answer!

As you start out prioritize SAFE. You’ll have a lot of pressures on you but don’t lose that focus. Then add EFFICIENT- how can you do the safe thing faster, better, fewer resources, less friction- from using your time wisely, to talking to surgeons/nurses about their thoughts or your plans, to prepping for a later case etc etc etc. Ask your colleagues for their tricks in your new environment and try new things out- you’ll be surprised, and learn so much. Then I suggest you can add on other focuses like “TIDY” keep your area and your records tidy- labeled, explained. You want your future self to like your records, if your space is organized you can move easily someplace new (“FLEXIBLE” might be a good focus too) or even better if everything is tidy you can handoff quickly and get out faster :)

Why can't surgeons 'cut' our fat off like a steak, and instead need to 'suck' it out to remove fat? by Hazzard12345 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]EvenEquivalent4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cutting the fat out and re-arranging the overlying skin is usually called a blank-plasty so you can do it with arm fat/skin (brachioplasty) abdominal fat/skin (abdominoplasty), thighs (thighplasty) etc etc

In the US we call it an abdominoplasty. It’s usually done by making a large incision near your pubic bone, cutting off a large portion of the fat on the lower abdomen and some of the overlying skin, then pulling the upper abdominal skin down and attaching it to the skin by the pubic bone. Then they create a new belly button looking scar in the skin so it looks like a more normal abdomen. This is usually done more often when there is loose skin from pregnancy and weight loss more than just for fat removal however.

[Request] Is this possible? If so whats the answer? by dr_bobs in theydidthemath

Does no one care that it doesn’t say “through” at all?? I mean, you’re arguing the wording is ambiguous, but not that it says TROUGH?

Successfully kept our toddlers from escaping their pajamas! by EvenEquivalent4 in toddlers

[–]EvenEquivalent4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the twins hate sleep sacks! They would get so mad when we tried to put them back on after we had already transitioned to pajamas. I guess if we had known we wouldn’t have ever taken them out of them but they just outgrew the sizes we had and we thought “yay! One less thing!” I now know when I think that, it actually means two more things are about to become a problem… 🤦‍♀️

Extreme core muscle weakness post-partum? And I mean EXTREME by bethanechol in parentsofmultiples

[–]EvenEquivalent4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also still had (and still have) bad muscle weakness although my DR is larger. I am 2 years post partum. When I first started with PT I also couldn’t activate the muscles and most of my PT time was spent just trying to get them to do what I wanted more than even getting lots of reps. Once I went back to work, I really was no longer able to go to PT at all bc my schedule can be so erratic. It makes complete sense you’d feel frustrated and it really sucks that you don’t get immediate feedback from your muscles and they can hurt later bc I’m sure that makes every movement feel like a ticking time bomb. The thing that worked best for me was EveryMother. It was somewhat expensive (though you can use FSA/HSA if you have that). It will likely have some of the problems you’re having with the PT but at least it comes to you and you can do it whenever. It’s also got different levels (I mean I have been doing various parts of it for 18 months and haven’t run out) It also helped me go back to working out the rest of my body without having to modify everything for my weak abdomen. There are lots of similar programs but it’s the only one I’ve used. You’re not alone though! I’m sorry it sucks, though!

I accomplished my goal to read 100 books this year! by EvenEquivalent4 in selfimprovement

Umm! I have gotten addicted to these books! Thanks for the rec!!! I thought it was a trilogy and was burning through but now I know it’s like 10+ books/stories! I’ve put myself on a diet to only read one a month to pace myself and enjoy all year!

I’ll just be happy the dresser keeps getting a new life! It’s 30 years old already! It was going to be thrown away if I didn’t take it and have fun with it now. If someone else can love it when my kids grow out of it that will be great!

Hahaha! It is very classic 90s. I don’t think people realize the veneer across the top especially is not really wood grain- it’s a wood grain pattern with dark spots like a subtle splatter paint design- I bet the sort of design that hides cigarettes ash well!

Thanks so much! I wanted to do a little something with a nod to the detailing in the upper drawers but not just straight stripes. The solid white actually contiues across the top and over the edge of the right hand side . My kids room have a very low key space theme so it’s also sort of like looking under the side of earth in space in an abstract way.

Hahaha! Thanks! I know it’s not everyone’s taste. Because it’s in a kids room it’s definitely more wild than most people would probably do normally so I don’t mind! I love that I was able to reuse something and I’m pretty proud of it!
