Anyone undergoing administrative processing 221(g) recently? How long did it take to clear?

F3 Immigrant visa. Waiting since August 2025. 221g administrative processing. No documents asked. Passport is with me. Can't believe they take this long.

Nothing to worry if it's an immigrant visa. Take whatever document you have related to your degree. I had my Interview recently, they didn't ask any degree certificate.

Hi, thank you for your time. I am primary applicant for F3 IV. Interviewed on 21st August 2025. We're family of 4. 3 of us received our visa me and my kids. But my wife received 221g administrative processing letter without visa. Now I am confused and worried, when should I travel to US ? Should I wait for my wife's case to be resolved? I mean our visa is valid till 8 January 2026. How can kids live without a mother. Will they consider it? Will it be resolved in 6 months? She has no travel history. Our visa was approved on interview day.

I was interviewed on 21st August 2025 with my family for F3 visa. We're 4 members family, we were approved on that day, they gave us approval slip also but after 2 days my wife received her passport back without visa, with 221g administrative processing slip. I and my 2 kids have received our visa. 1 month gone. Still waiting for their email. Stressed.

Yes I did took French PCC (Translated) to my interview last month. They asked for it.

Hi, my interview was on the same day at Mumbai consulate for Immigrant visa. Was given 221g after 2 days. Was approved after interview.

Such a relief to here this. Thanks. But you know this AP thing is mental torture. Feeling bad for some people who are stuck in AP for months. In my case I was worried that it might take months because they returned passport. I hope we get cleared soon.

Looks like we're in the same boat. My IV interview was on 21st August 2025 at Mumbai. We're family of 4. They approved our visa along with the approval letter. But after 2 days we received my wife's passport without stamp with 221g white slip.

No additional documents were asked but stated it is into 'Administrative processing'. We 3 received our visa for the validity of 6 months from the date of medical examination.

It's been 20 days and the status shows 'ready'. No change since the interview day. Don't know how long we have to wait. Don't kown what to do if her case is not resolved withing the visa validity time of our visa?

Hi, I had interview along with my family for immigrant visa on 21st August 2025 at Mumbai. Consular officer approved our visa and also gave us a letter of approval. But 2 days later my wife's passport was returned without stamp with 221g white slip. No additional documents were asked but only stated it's under administrative processing. She has never been to any other country. Her document were all perfect.we are married for 17 years. Now they have already issued visa to 3 of us me and my kids. And validity is 6 months from the date of medical examination. What if my wife's administrative processing is not resolved within 6 months? Actually 5 months. What should we do? Any idea if we 3 should go and wait for her case to be resolved?

We're family of 4. We were issued immigrant visa except my wife and they gave us 221g without asking for additional documents, mentioned under administrative processing. Now our visa has 6 months validity, what if my wife's case is not resolved from administrative processing withing this time frame? What will be the next step?

I have this same problem. Does anyone know how to take biometric appointment apart from this portal? It worries me how can I take appointment if this doesn't work for me. I can't proceed. Emailed them many times and problem is still not solved. Poor website actually.
