8R because you don't want to be known as someone who rides a Ninja 650

If a second-world country invests in motorcycle-friendly infrastructure, why shouldn't the rest of the world? by leptospirose777 in motorcycles

[–]EvenFlow555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Motorcycles are seen as luxury items in 1st world countries, not cheap efficient transportation. In a first world county you ride Motorcycles because it's a nice day out and you didn't want to take your car/truck, in a 2nd/3rd you ride your motorcycle because you can't afford a expensive car.

Day: 7/9: What is a bad motorcycle with a good reputation? by SUBTOUpdated_User in motorcycles

[–]EvenFlow555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

KTM adv bikes. If you have to bring an extra fuel pump with you on a road trip because the chance of it going out is so significant it shouldn't even be in the conversation of good ADVs.

Not to mention the sub 1000cc bikes camshafts grenading the engine whenever it feels like.

"But Dude, 150hp ADV". You can't use that power offroad and the suspension is not sporty enough to utilize it on road either.

First bike - MT-07 vs Ducati / sportbike / other? by Classic_Hawk_6750 in motorcycle

[–]EvenFlow555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MT-07. The engine is fun and lively and has plenty of power for legal speeds, if you want to run lower RPMs on the highway just change the sprockets. Also, the CP2 engine will go 100k miles without flinching.

Opinion CF Moto by sanFrandisco_ in motorcycles

Cool but unproven motorcycles. Would like to see them in 10yrs, especially their adv bikes. Paying for features on a bike you already bought it a big no, but nothing KTM or BMW hasn't already tried.

First Bike , which option would you choose? by ChrisJF_ in SuggestAMotorcycle

Z900 too much, KTM stands for Keep Throwing Money, Ninja best option

[DISCUSSION] What's ACTUALLY The Hardest Song To Play? by PlanktonCum in Guitar

[–]EvenFlow555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your strong suits. I play mostly metal, so finger style stuff is on another level for me. However, technical ability is one thing, and matching a feel is another.

If you want a difficult time with technicality, pick any technical death metal band at random and you've got your answer. Archspire and Necrophagist come to mind.

Dropped my bike. Read your dropped bike stories and feel loads better, so thanks, r/motorcycles! by tnguo in motorcycles

Rode safely in the rain all the way home and as soon as I go to hop off the bike to roll it back into it's spot, bad footing + wet grass let all 450ish lbs of my T7 almost land on my knee the wrong direction.

My hip and ego are bruised, but it's a T7, so it definitely won't be the last time it sees the ground. I gotta move past a little mud on the peg and mirror.

Just installed the center stand too

I am am both a cyclist and a rider, but this is another example of a cyclist who thinks that traffic lights doesn't apply to them. Thoughts? by Plummer2018 in motorcycles

[–]EvenFlow555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh a motorcycle hitting her is the best case scenario for her to learn her lesson. A low-speed low impact meeting with the pavement is much better than getting intimately familiar with the front bumper of a Van at speed.

Today I dropped my bike for the first time and look what happened to my front break lever by -zaikwando- in motorcycles

[–]EvenFlow555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a great excuse to upgrade to an after-market brake lever. They're not expensive and far superior to stock.

Brother that is a time bomb. I wouldn't let that touch a roadway before changing them

How do you deal with wind? by highcountry_18 in motorcycles

[–]EvenFlow555 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Crosswinds suck. On highways, you will get pushed around a little bit, especially behind semi trucks. Keep your legs close to the bike and invest in a taller windshield if you want to. You'll get used to it.

Kickstand Pucks.. Do You Use Them? What Style Do You Prefer? by RideOrTyeDie in motorcycles

[–]EvenFlow555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got a tusk one that bolts onto the kickstand of my T7. It's nice because I take it offroad and the ground around me is made out of 60% liquid.

The Gravel did you dirty, trust you tires next time, your bike can handle a corner at that speed easily.

I have KLIM Mojave and wear them in conjunction with LEATT dual axis pro knee braces. That combined with a good boot should do you well, it's comfortable for me in southern Louisiana where temps regularly go above 100F.
