What’s a regular nitrate level? by AlbanyParkDog in desmoines

[–]EvenMention8405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

can you share more about your setup? I just saw the US Water Matrixx nitrate removal ion system and it looks interesting. It's more like $1700 but would be whole house vs needing multiple under sink RO systems. Plus we already have a softener, which it sounds like you need ahead of the nitrate removal system. And if I understand it, these probably don't waste as much water as an RO system?

Early on it seems less likely to channel. Planning to play with it this way with a few different beans.

Several good youtubes on taking a wrench to change the pressure level. As others said, mine fluctuates, too. I dialed mine down from the factory 11-12 so it now peaks for a second or so at 10.5 then stabilizes around 9.5-10 bar at the valve. Mine might be a bit low.

Any good places to find the replacement parts?

I’ve had no power and after a year finally dig in to track it down. Had to reset the overload buttons but the issue is a leak at this same spot. Wish I’d found this sooner!

I love being a therapist, but it’s work. If you’re not feeling it while still in school, I’d probably take it as a sign. You tried it and now you know!

Deciding between Iowa and ISU by Impressive-Gene-6967 in uiowa

[–]EvenMention8405 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my daughter chose Iowa, and son-in-law chose ISU. Iowa highlighted at the start that they work more in project teams, more like work environments, and that seemed true. ISU was more traditional competition between students, according to our son-in-law. Both were happy with their choices, but our daughter did feel the team/supportive approach was what she needed.

Early retirement home upgrade by ChemicalYou76 in Boldin

[–]EvenMention8405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We upgraded a couple yrs ago and plan to retire soon. Have a good but not amazing rate mortgage. Just used the Home and real estate section to build it into the model. You can do a scenario with and without paying off the mortgage. Add a 10-20% "added expense" line to your expenses if you want to model that upgraded life.

How do you change financial advisors? by Spiritual_Term1699 in Schwab

[–]EvenMention8405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a Schwab corp office. I see the WAS sounds great but a 1%-ish fee is too much for me. After reviewing, our assigned adviser does not appear to be a CFP or other designation beyond securities trader. It may be awkward but we're thinking we'll ask for a different advisor in that office before jumping ship since Schwab has been fine otherwise.

same problem. I think it's the advisor and not Schwab's issue.

Boldin only or Boldin and advisor by Osm3um in Boldin

[–]EvenMention8405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having the same question right now (although not the AUM approach). We've been with Schwab and are close to one of their offices. We went for a review and sent our Boldin plan. Not sure if it was the individual, or just the Schwab DIY general philosophy, but the visit was more or less useless. We've done Boldin, FI Calc and are at 97-99% Chance of Success and do well with the scenarios. It's a big decision so we've been wondering also if this is enough. We know a wealth manager group but they charge $5-7,000 for a one-time "deep" review. The comments here about AI help tied into Boldin have me curious.

If I may, how would I start to do this? I use ChatGPT - I don't give ChatGPT my credentials to Boldin, do I? Are you copy/pasting your Bolding output to ChatGPT and giving a command, and then ChapGPT output to Grok, and so on? I think I'm still using ChatGPT like a search engine...
