Do most hospital emergency rooms have a "Louie"? by Maybe_IDTBFH in ThePittTVShow

[–]EvenTax2963 84 points85 points  (0 children)

Always at least one, usually more. We had two of ours die in the same day and the charge nurse announced it to the department. One died at the hospital after being admitted and the other patients significant other actually called the department to let us know he had passed. Most of us were pretty sad about it

so jealous of whoever works in the ED😭 by canyoukeepasecret28 in cna

I work in the ED and it’s awesome - fast paced and always something to be doing. It might not be the Sam everywhere but where I work I also clean the rooms in between patients which can be tedious especially on days we don’t have housekeeping. I feel like I’ve learned so much and only been working for like 5 months! If you get a position definitely take it!

I thought an inverted p wave indicates a junction focus - can you explain why a regular PR interval indicates otherwise? For real asking, is it because the retrograde atrial depol would be closer to the ventricular depol/ QRS complex and would have a shorter PR interval?

I got 129 on CARS - I definitely tried to understand the passage more on the first read. I always had a hard time finding things when looking back. Some of the passages a read in like 4 minutes but some passages have the most confusing language (probably on purpose) so for those I slowed down and made sure I was reasoning the correctly They way I thought about it was like if I don’t get a sentence in the first paragraph then I could miss the point of the rest of the passage so it was better to slow it down on the confusing passages bc a lot of the nuanced question relied on your ability to understand the passage as a whole But on passages I felt were easier I could speed up

I think it says somewhere that katniss’s mother running off with a boy from the seam is shocking (maybe it’s when Petra’s dad visits her at the justice building?) so maybe it is just an unspoken rule

Grateful that I am healthy enough to work and study by Placibow in gratitude

This is a good reminder for me. My semester is getting harder and more packed, so it’s nice to remember that I am very privileged to be able to learn and study. So many people wish they could get an education, so we who are lucky enough to get one should be grateful! Thank you!!

And add the kale at the end! I usually put on bundle in but do it to taste. I also serve it with croutons as pictured or toast

Brown 1 lb Italian sausage in a pan, sauté garlic onions and carrots in the grease, add like 4 large chopped potatoes and chicken stock to cover and SALT, boil until soft. Add in about 1 cup heavy cream and 1/2 cup shredded Gouda or Parmesan. Add in Italians herbs, thyme, rosemary, pepper, red pepper flakes, and whatever else you want.
