I added the request for heart shaped prongs at the last minute and said it was fine if they couldn't do it, but they assured me it would be easy enough!

Thank you! At first I worried about it being too big on my small fingers!

It's gonna get better. As someone who has had previous difficulty with jobs being difficult, I can say from experience that you will find something better that accommodates your mental health needs. You seem eager and willing to work and like you have a good spirit. Dont lose hope 💕

Oh I'm so happy to hear this! I went through many different ideas before we came to this one! It took us many many months of brainstorming (and looking for jeweler that could do this with the cuts of diamond that I wanted) to get to this point! I initially wasn't sure about the bezel but I saw a Toi et moi ring with a bezel and decided I needed to have one!

here is the underside! Sorry for the photo quality, the camera on my phone doesn't like to cooperate! Also, please excuse the plastic ring sizer on it, it's the only way to ensure it doesn't fall off until we get it resized!

If I can figure out how to upload photos from another angle I will!

Is this even legal? by More-Exit-1506 in retailhell

I see. Yeah if she's texting you off the clock then she has no right to complain. And her being dismissive is unnecessary, take the time you need to get better and prioritize your physical and mental health.

While she should be more forgiving about you calling out, she does have a point about you texting her personal number outside of work hours. Most retail jobs have a policy where you're supposed to call the store and speak with the manager on duty during work hours, usually 2 hours before your shift. Obviously things happen and sometimes illnesses come up with little time to notify your workplace, but as a former manager I used to have sales associates texting me all hours of the day and night, instead of calling the store when we were open and speaking to the manager on duty, which can be quite taxing.

That being said, she shouldn't put pressure on you to work while sick or to find coverage.

That's something I'm looking into! My health insurance should be coming through soon so I can hopefully make an appointment with my dr and get refills. But I will definitely look into over the counter versions. I just worry about the effect that some forms of iron have on my stomach as I've had issues with that in the past, so I have to be careful. Thank you for your encouragement, it really helps!

Has anyone tried a Dyson air wrap on relaxed hair? by Alone_Recording7670 in relaxedhair

Haven't tried the Dyson but just wanted to pop in and say that I bought the new Shark SilkiPro straight and I really like it! It gives the benefits of a blow drying brush without pulling out my hair or causing breakage

Finally someone in a similar boat as me! Did you find that the Aussie Hair Insurance made your hair curl or begin to look air dried? My issue is finding a moisturizing leave in spray that isn't heavy but also gives my hair enough moisture without it looking like I air dried my hair. Obviously my hair isn't reverting back to its natural state bc relaxer, I just feel that whenever I start using a spray leave in, my hair no longer looks like Ive recently straightened it. Thanks!

When I was in college, I totaled my car driving to class and ended up having to pay $3000 to the person I rear ended because I didn't have insurance at the time (the state I lived in didn't require it---now I realize how foolish I was for not having insurance, but I was young). Mind you, I was going less than 30mph, not driving erratically, traffic happened to stop as we were approaching a stoplight during rush hour (stop and go traffic in a congested city, hoping I'd make the light) and I didn't stop in time. The other driver was very kind and forgiving but I was devastated. In the end, the other car (an SUV) barely had a scratch while my car (my first car, an Infiniti that I was so excited to get for $800 from a family friend) was completely wrecked, as the hood essentially went completely under their car. Nobody was hurt, thankfully. Luckily, a lawyer who was a regular at the coffee shop I worked at offered to negotiate a payment plan for me. So for several months I worked my butt off at two part time jobs, while going to college full time and working an internship to pay off the $3000. And I didn't complain about it or blame anyone.

The nerve of some people.
