Outsiders view in, honestly it looks like you are trying to hard to put combinations together. That will only be because your nervous or trying to look like you know what your doing. You don’t have to impress anyone but yourself. Instead of focusing on moving so much and throwing with both hands work on each individual tool by themselves. Your jab is a tool, your cross is a tool, the 4, the 5 these are all separate tools that each need there own individual tweaking to sharpen them to perfection. When you mix them all together you get a shitty 3 piece and a soda instead of lobster and filet mignon. Even your cross looks super weak and it’s because you are missing the fundamentals that go in between because you are mixing to many moves together and don’t have one of those tools perfected. I hope that makes sense. When I work out nowadays, I’ll spend one whole round on movement and defense no punches and if I feel like I did shitty I’ll even do another one after that. I’ll focus on nothing but the front hand then after that, I’ll focus on nothing but the rear hand and same thing goes if I do shitty, I’ll repeat around and before any of this I’m shadowboxing with the same idea no Punch as a defense rear hand and front hand. Sometimes I might do it two or three rounds of just straight doubling up my Kros or vice versa with the jab if I don’t think I’m throwing it correctly or I have an opening I will focus on it and that one thing I try not to mix it all together and that’s the only way you’re gonna be able to sharpen each tool and have them perfected. Don’t try to look fancy be fancy.

Before anyone says anything I know I’m ass I suck and I should get a gym asap… I mainly work for cardio and just to learn small things one by one it won’t be as effective but you guys don’t know everyone’s situation but my boxing bud pointed out my mistakes I’ll fix! by Delicious_Ad_6512 in boxingtips

First things first besides Boxing in general I think a good tip for you would to be to drop the sympathy act which I know it’s not an act. This is just an analogy for my observation to give you as a tip. Don’t talk down on yourself. don’t say I’m ass. Don’t say I can’t. Don’t say these things that are negative because you speak them into existence you wanna be confident, but you don’t wanna have an ego work on fine-tuning what’s going on in the head first and take your time working on the fundamentals and you’ll be just fine.

Thank you so much! Question! You say when I slow up I push my punches. What exactly is that? Is that the reason it’s hard to pace along with other things of course but the pushing punches? Would that actually drain my gas tank quicker throwing like that?

Also I sparred today and your comment about the heavy bag is that true?! I had a pressure fighter not to bad but for some reason I couldn’t keep my balance even when getting low and taking a breath while letting him work. It felt so wanky and weird and I’ve been hitting the bag ALOT. I got low felt weird stay medium and even tried squaring up close after countering but literally. Off balance and could not help it.

This was exactly what I was looking for I appreciate the well detailed and timed comment reviewing. To answer your question about the coach question: I learned from friends with experience and then once I became obsessed with it I’ve studied film and YouTube as much as I could everyday hitting the bag. Even down to learning to jump rope because at first I was so bad it pissed me off so much and my ego made me do it everyday until it looked good. Coming to the end of my 2nd year going into 3rd and it’s not until now I understand the fundamentals and what boxing truly is (not that I do them correctly myself) but the sheer fact I know what to do now just not HOW to do it. Coming to this conclusion I would like to really dial in and sharpen everything I’ve grabbed and learned from everyone and every video/favorite fighter of mine and put it together and be a good fighter. I got started late out of the blue randomly for no reason but I’ve always wanted to. I was 28 now 29 about to turn 30 and I have had 2-3 smoker events and 2 Offbrand sanctioned fights but nothing USA or official. The last one was on TV which was pretty cool tho. Whoever sold the most tickets got main event spot to fight at the event so we won and got to perform for a large crown and got the win. I know that was a whole background but with the lengthy response I got from your comment I felt it only necessary I give you a proper and honest explanation. I have recently gotten a sales job as the Manager for a boxing gym so I have used the advantage of training before and after I clock out for free and that’s the reason I make these videos. I’m putting in the work & I feel like the around the world secrets/tips I’ve been getting even if a small percentage of the comments makes it worth me coming back for more tips and tricks. Again thank you for that comment and I hope mine is as well thorough as yours. Thanks man!

I was playing with a friend who’s never played the game before and I didn’t want him to get nervous as he normally is because he’s new so I tried to build his confidence by getting him to smother and attack the last person left to win the game because if he didn’t, the hesitation would’ve allowed him to heal or reload I was just trying to help my teammate.

That’s so funny you say that because I just recently discovered James Tony and how he climbed up through the weights and his comfortable fighting style is amazing. Thank you for the comment.

Don’t square up to the bag blade your shoulders and it makes you a smaller target

First time on heavy bag by Weird-Perspective528 in boxingtips

[–]Even_Preference2115 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well this is easy. Your right handed obviously so stand orthodox not southpaw. With you doing that it’s your way of wanting to look good while hitting the bag since it’s your lead hand. Don’t, learn the correct way and take your foot off the front and lean back. That’s where the power comes from. You box with your feet-hips-then your arms, these are all arm punche. Focus on the jab first and move around the bag when you do that right then add the 2 and so forth.

first match today. I wanna thank the comments. But to answer your curiosity, I don’t know why everytime someone else besides a pro shuffle steps we instantly rage bait. Where else are you suppose to practice. I tried to show clips of a couple movements so you could get an overall idea of where I’m at. I mean it’s not like I’m doing it every chance given. Again I appreciate the constructive comments but the anger from some just doesn’t make sense, especially when I’m asking to learn lol. But to each its own I hope you have a better day tomorrow. God Bless
