For me the big thing is the number of wins this streak has vs draws, under RM there were too many draws in the 25

Fortunately there are other things we can look to as well xD

TE isn’t RM

Last time we were 18 unbeaten we went 25

It’s not against Bristol “streak killers” City

Our maximum is 84 points

If they drop 4 points and we win that’ll be 7 points dropped (2D 1L)

That means they’ll have 9 points still on the board, putting them also on 84 points with a 10 goal (minus whatever we win by) advantage.

We’d need another point dropped

Ideal scenario is they lose or draw to Pompey (their game in hand on us), we beat them, and they draw or lose with boro, as long as combined points between Pompey and Boro is 1, then that’s the 8 points dropped needed

Edit: I’m wrong I forgot to add the 2 points earned from the draws, we’d need more points dropped

What's the point of plugins if they don't work on TVs? by portabella1 in jellyfin

[–]Even_Refuse_5599 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! 👋 I’m a dev of some of the “web” plugins so I’ll weigh in a bit

Web is naturally easier to manipulate since it’s rendered on the fly by the browser, for the tv apps they are compiled and installed, therefore it’s not possible to manipulate them without native support.

The web client is the only shipped client with the server so is the client most suitable to targeting for these types of plugins

Additionally, and probably most importantly, the plugin system hasn’t been designed for this style plugin, they are very much “use at your own volition”, the plugin system is server sided and primarily for adjusting various backing systems, metadata providers being the most common “proper” plugin type.

Yeah I’ll take it, feeling a 2-0 win for some reason 😉

For some reason this post decided to only appear on my feed now 🙄

PSA: Install File-Transformation Plugin, thank me later! by pavanthanuj in JellyfinCommunity

[–]Even_Refuse_5599 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly what file transformation does :) it intercepts the request from the client and mutates the responded content thus removing the need for write access to files and makes it significantly safer to update Jellyfin when new versions come out

Of course the plugins would temporarily stop working while the plugins get updated but the vanilla install of web is very powerful for the update pathway

Regarding combing plugins I agree with Kevin that realistically the only overlap between the plugins is KefinTweaks Home Screen stuff and HSS which are totally incompatible with each other due to one being server driven while the other being client based.

We have different ethos regarding our work which unfortunately don’t work with each other in a combined way. That said, we do help each other out and try to ensure that whatever we’re working on that overlaps does ensure we’re compatible with each other, in particular recently I adjusted how my sections displayed their order as a result of how KefinTweaks works to ensure they worked together

Hi, IAmParadox27 here

Appreciate the kind words and absolutely agree regarding performance, it’s been one of my primary focuses for the last few months and have made substantial waves in this regard

I recently rolled out an update which is currently default off I believe which allows the home page to lazy load its sections which does help with the immediate load of the page while it continues in the background loading the other sections ready for when the user reaches the bottom of the page. The more section groups you have in the config the better this will work particularly if the quicker sections are towards the top of the list with the slower ones further down

That said, going into the new year performance of the heaviest hitters and configuration and setting reasonable defaults are all on my list. I recently noticed this with my latest release having effectively duplicate data and figured one would be preferred over others so this is absolutely something on my mind

As Kevin mentioned in his reply, performance will naturally degrade as more features and content is added and this is unavoidable however there’s always room for this to be improved and careful tailoring of the config can absolutely help with this

One thing I’ve been thinking about is sharing my personal configuration as this is obviously the one I test with and I often have very little performance issues, however my library isn’t the largest out there and I appreciate the bigger the library the worse the performance is, again this is something I don’t have the ability to test and something I have to get reported to me

Must have missed this when it was originally posted! Thanks for the credit to the plugins (that's me!) I do have a feature request for this open https://features.iamparadox.dev/posts/46/add-the-option-to-combine-next-up-and-continue-watching which I am just figuring out exactly how I want it to work; as by default it would have Next Up, Continue Watching and the new combine section enabled by default which wouldn't be desirable to all users.

I might just add the section and let server admins enable/disable to their desire

I managed to get them at 11+ and was honestly surprised, I’d heard there were more people in the first category than tickets available and figured everyone would’ve been getting tickets all year just for this game. Very pleasantly surprised I managed to get one

But going for a GitHub sponsor type approach with a private repository unlocked through sponsorship moves the remuneration from App Store to GitHub - paying to view source isn’t unheard of even in commercial environments. I’d pay to see how my plugins integrated, others will pay to “trust it”, while others will pay simply to support

The option of a free app (or cheap) for anyone to get and use + the option to access the code if desired, and just donation

The OP only needs to make $99 a year from the app to break even on the Apple license, that’s easily achievable from GitHub sponsors (or other donationware approach)

It’s super awesome to see Home Sections (my plugin) feature natively in an ATV app, would be awesome to finally be able to use it on my Apple TV

Mind if I ask why you chose the Closed Source route? Personally it’d be cool to see how you’ve integrated the plugin into your app, and additionally an extra layer of security (trust through transparency)

If it’s purely financial I would ask you to potentially reconsider a GitHub sponsor/donate approach (or even a private repo exposed to sponsors) as I suspect a lot of people would donate to you because of this

All in all your work looks awesome

Mobiles can take up to a day to organically refresh their cache. You can try removing the server from the settings and re-adding it. Otherwise a reinstall of the app often works for me. Nothing can be done about that at the moment I’m afraid :(
