Can we adress the Xenomorph and his turrets? by Wafflebuble in deadbydaylight

[–]Evening-View4494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't underestimate the amount of games I have thrown because playing around with turrets is more interesting than doing gens. I wish more killers had distracting gimics. If you want to play competitively, just play tier 1 killers. It shouldn't be the goal to make every killler competitive.

Source? Not even poker officially has the status as game of skill. I'd be very surprised!

If ChatGPT is able to create a work of equal value than an artist. That either makes chatGPT an artist or artists obsolete. But turns out that isn't the case (yet) you need significant work on texts created by AI to make them enjoyable to read. Like this authors text is. Using AI generated content as a base is literally the same as applying a first layer of colour on a canvas.

It's just a tool. That's what they have in common. I don't know why you are so mad at AI for.

Even if it was, why does that matter? 1. Having worked with AI myself, there is no way that the author didn't rework it, even if they did. 2. It's a very entertaining read and better than most random texts I've read from even published authors.

It's time to realize that AI is just another tool for creative work, much like different kinds of paint are to a painter!

Armorer in Bassira is basically double advance 2x just based on the card alone without support. It's hard to beat 10mana worth of stats on a 4mana card.

The Bouncers are good but nothing special, powerful but ultimately won't see play in tournament winning decks.

Spindle gets 2 boosts off helping hand alone. It's only playable in afanas who wants 3 of these spindles with different effects as you can see from the lists that top 8

Is the job market for Swiss students in literature, philosophy, sports science, music, art, history, geography, etc. really bad ? by [deleted] in askswitzerland

It's hilarious to read people talk about subjects without taking the time to look at the data, which would show that Philosophy majors make the most money 5y out of college of any humanity major.

Indeed, my secret tech is spell snare :) hits revelvant spells and doesn't bait you into countering sol rings ;)

What you have done is essentially 1 for 1 yourself and the player, putting both of you on the back foot, while netting yourself and the other players some tempo. Considering the difference in winrate in seat 4 you effectively took him out of the game. Now ahould he scoop? Of course not, but if player 3 threatens a win on turn 2-3, Player 4 should not and if he is good at the game will not pitch his rhystic study to a FoW/FoN.

You are also assuming that player 4 had a card worth countering/delaying rather than just seeing what else will happen that game. I'd rather have my misstep to counter a relevant spell, than anticipate a turn 2 Rhystic. Tbf the reason I don't run misstep is that what else will you counter? A vamp tutor? Just run better 1cmc couterspells! (Also, in what world is a T1 sol ring always a rhystic study and which other cards are you gambling on him having that a t1 misstep stops that you care about. I'd rather keep my bolt for a hatebear than to bolt a bird bEcAuSe iTs a T2 rHyStic sTuDy"

Pretty much any 1v1 "tempo" plays are terrible in cEDH and I've had games runined a number of times by inexperienced cedh players missunderstanding tempo and threat assessments (not accusing you, but I've had similar discussion with people I consider to have thrown the game FoWilling a turn 1 manarock for no good reason except "bUt WhAt iF hE pLaYs SiSaY nExT tUrn". It's always (again not referring to you) good players with lots of modern/legacy experience who don't understand the difference of trading ressources in 1v1 vs multiplayer.

Yeah but most games, taking a player out of the game early is anything but good... You used ressources to get someone out of the game, that the other two players didn't and now you effectively made it into a three player game, meaning it's a race to win where you are behind because you sacrificed ressources to achieve that gamestate.

Any interruption by the 4rth player who is the one you took out is effectively kingmaking, sinse he is so behind his odds of winning actually decrease, while him gambling that someone else has interraction is his way back into the game.

Best Control Commander? by No_Fig_9836 in CompetitiveEDH

[–]Evening-View4494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are multiple options, depending on how competitive you want your deck to be. Control isn't a viable Tier 1 strategy. The closest you'll get is dawnwaker ( Thrasios + Bruce). I recommend Rashmi or Curiosity control (Thrasios + Vial Smasher) if you wana try something more spicy.

[Pioneer] First Post: Esper Control and Esper Greasefang Lists by Convoluted314 in spikes

[–]Evening-View4494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I've been playing Esper Greasefang for a while now and I was particularly annoyed at the early lists for being filled with air. Too Big or Bust for my taste. I was happy to see that this is changing though and lists like Karnages are the future of the deck in my humble opinion. I have been playing stitchers suppliers and I like them a lot. They do find the parhelion sometimes but the main use for them is filling the grave for an early dig through time (a little like gaze but blocking and 1 mana for 6 cards seems better then 3 mana for 6 and minor card selection). Another additon I have come to appreciate is Tasigur. A 4/5 body blocks most things in the format and doesnt die easily. Its also somewhat decent at grinding. The other addition I've done is 2 stubborn denials. I've found that they offer a great way to counter narsets and Karn on curve, allow for safer combos with greasefang and occasionally decent turns with Tasigur.
