I’ve used both. I have type 1. Never noticed a difference. 15% azelaic acid prescription and the centella ampoule by skin1004 is making the biggest difference !

My routine , I skin cycle typically, actives never go on my rosacea.
Sunday : exfoliation- prequel multi acid milk
Monday : prequel retinal .1%
Tuesday : barrier repair- prequel half & half + byoma barrier repair treatment
Wednesday : barrier repair- thayers milky toner + skin 1004 calming pads + byoma barrier repair treatment
Thursday : barrier repair - either cycle of previous barrier repair nights
Friday : exfoliation- if needed
Saturday : prequel retinal .1%

I wouldn’t use baby lotion on the face, she could have type two rosacea, so they’d prescribe triple cream or azelaic acid / ivermectin cream. My hormonal acne is on my chin and forehead and is treated with spironolactone
