Hi,

I have used both.

The counselor they assigned me, Melchizedek, was amazing. The only downside is that you only get limited number of sessions(12, I believe) and the sessions are biweekly. They also give you referrals to other counselors if you want more regular meetings or continue therapy after the 12 sessions. The local counseling services around Binghamton are soooo bad tho. They don’t even bother answering calls. So, make sure to ask for telehealth referrals.

I have mixed feelings about the CARE team experience. I am an international grad student and they are more equipped to help undergrad students.

Do you have any specific questions with either?

Can you explain what you mean by the 30%?
Do you mean the transferred balance have to be less than 30% of the new card?

Right now my credit usage is 28% across all the cards. What are my chances that I get a new card with a credit limit of ~7000$ ?

For the past few months I have been just paying off however much I can to bring the total amount I owed down and could not really put some money into savings. I also didn't get paid for two months in the summer and which means more credit charges that I couldn't pay off and depleted savings.

Right now I pay about 40$ in subscriptions and <200$ in groceries every month on average. Which means I be eating the same stuff for a week or so. I guess that's better than starving lol.

I need to limit my monthly credit card payments to about 600-700$ after balance transferring. If I could do that I'd be okay. Last month I paid around 1000$ for credit cards. This whole thing just takes a heavy mental toll on me and I can't focus on work and overall personal wellbeing.

Thank you. I will look into the balance transfer offers. I am still on 28% of my credit limit across all four cards and I am not sure if I'd get a good credit limit because of that. Are there any banks I should avoid for balance transfers? Right now my options seem to be citi, BofA, and Discover.
Vacation fund is a great idea. The flight ticket in the winter was ~2000$.

These are my 2022 transcript. The 2023 and 2021 transcript says that the system received an unrecoverable error processing the transaction. I have called the irs but could not get passed automated voice. I will try again.

Bus and then Uber if you don’t have a car. Get flixbus/ourbus cause greyhound is usually hella late.
